Bishop John Yaw Adu, the leader and founder of New Jerusalem Chapel, has disclosed that legendary gospel singer Yaw Sarpong is healing and doing very well now.
In an exclusive interview on Kingdom FM, Bishop Adu expressed immense gratitude to Ghanaians for their support of the gospel singer and shared that Sarpong's health has significantly improved.
"I want to express a big thank you to all Ghanaians, both in Ghana and abroad, for your prayers for Yaw Sarpong and the entire ministry. I can confidently say that Yaw Sarpong is doing excellently well now," Bishop Adu said.
Yaw Sarpong's health condition became public knowledge when his wife, Adwoa Penamang, revealed to Auntie Naa on Oyerepa FM how the family had mistreated and neglected her since Sarpong fell ill.
She also expressed distress over the family's decision to allow Maame Tiwaa to care for the music star, leaving her neglected.
The interview received criticism from some members of the public who felt it was unnecessary and tarnished the image and legacy of Yaw Sarpong.
Sarpong has been suffering from a stroke, and there is hope that he will fully recover and continue his ministry.
