Actor John Peasah, popularly known as ‘Drogba’, took to the stage to share his miraculous healing encounter at the Christ Embassy's Airport City crusade in Accra.
The actor, who has been grappling with multiple disorders and facing severe health challenges, spoke to the large congregation at the 'Miracle Night' crusade about his unexpected healing.
Accompanied by his sister, Peasah recounted his struggle with Stiff Person Syndrome, a condition that makes it nearly impossible for him to sit in crowds or stay in public spaces for extended periods.
However, his experience at the crusade grounds marked a significant change.
In a viral video from the miracle service, Drogba was seen giving a testimony of his newfound ability to do things he hadn't been able to do in the past four years.
"For the past four years, he hasn't been able to go out. Anytime he tries to go out, he has to wear a face mask because the moment he sees a crowd, he won't be able to walk. His head will start shaking, and he won't be able to walk.
“You'd have to hold him. But today is the first time in four years that he has been able to walk in a crowd," his sister said.
Drogba added, "I find it very hard to walk in public, but I feel better today. The funny thing is nobody has stiff person syndrome in Ghana; I've been trying to reach out to people but to no avail.”
Drogba’s struggles
Recently, the actor disclosed that he is battling multiple conditions simultaneously, which has sparked public concern.
He disclosed battling sleep apnea syndrome, multiple debilitating disorders, and a Stiff Person Spectrum Disorder, a rare neurological condition that causes muscle stiffness and painful spasms.
He also disclosed battling with GAD-positive cerebellar Cerebellar Ataxia, which affects his coordination and balance.
Additionally, he said he experiences constant visual challenges, tremors, and dizziness.
Gofundme appeal
About a week ago, the actor launched a GoFundMe campaign to raise $280,000 for medical care overseas.
He mentioned that the high costs associated with his treatment have significantly drained his financial resources, prompting him to seek additional funding for his medical care outside the country.
