Amapiano sensation DJ Azonto has jabbed Ghanaian Hiplife legend Barima Sidney for saying he will not receive any compensation from Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
DJ Azonto, in an earlier statement, demanded $10 million in compensation from NPP flagbearer Dr. Bawumia for dancing to his hit song 'Fa No Fom' at a campaign rally.
But Barima Sidney, in a recent interview, stated that the claim from Azonto is just a dream, and he believes he will not receive any compensation from the Vice President.
DJ Azonto has responded to the assertions of Barima Sidney, saying that Dr. Bawumia will meet their $10 million compensation obligation because he has the capacity.
"Don't mind Barima Sidney; that's why he is poor. I intend to present a petition to the office of the Vice President for full compensation for the use of my song.
"I know the Vice President has the capacity to pay, so Barima Sidney should stay out of it," he said in an interview.
The "Fa No Fom" hitmaker added that he will be very disappointed if he doesn't get any compensation and could seek legal redress over the issue.
DJ Azonto will on June 1, 2024, release a single titled "Dr Bawumia 10 Million Dollars" as he seeks to address issues relating to the compensation claim.
