Ghanaian music ordained African dancehall artiste Samini has revealed there is no grounds for him to be compared with any other artiste.
He disclosed this speaking on 'E-zone', Obuasi's finest radio entertainment show with Boyfriend Romeo.
He suggested it was unjust for anyone to do a comparison between him and Shatta Wale, reckoning years of back to back hits from 2001 and still staying relevant in the industry.
“It is unfair to compare my consistency from 2004 to 2017 to someone who came in 2003 and never came again till 2013. There is no grounds for anybody to want to compare you to someone who that has been there every year and every other year for you to say it's okay. He should even object that”.
He continued “I remember, before some people criticised me that what I was doing was "jama" not dancehall because I mixed twi in my lyrics and they were the ones who sing strictly patois. After ten years of wilderness they realised if they follow in my footsteps, they will go hungry in this economy. You can't tell me Linda is Jama and years later record Baby Baby”
