Renowned radio presenter Kwasi Aboagye has jabbed Joey B for failing to utter a word when Olisa Adibua poked Ghana in the eye during an interview the rapper had with the Nigerian radio presenter in Nigeria.
Olisa Adibua of Lagos-based Beatz FM, is reported to have threatened that Nigerian event organizers would stop organizing shows in Ghana if citizens continue to treat Nigerians who come to Ghana with disdain.
The said remarks, according to reports, were made in the presence of Joey B and Guilty Beatz who had gone to Nigeria for a media engagement.
“In terms of your people, it seems they don’t like Nigerians coming through. I heard about one or two issues that happened with the Cardi B show as well recently… I heard some things that were not good, and if you behave like that with Afronation, no one is going to come back to Ghana with a show,” Olisa Adibua was quoted to have said.
During the headline segment on his Entertainment Review show, Saturday, Kwasi Aboagye, expressed utmost disappointment in Joey B, stressing that the rapper should have countered the comment instead of exhibiting a seemingly timid and weak-kneed posture.
“I’m not even peeved at the Nigerian who made those comments,” he said. “You Joey B, you sat there like a sheep while the lady spewed those words.”
Afronation, an urban music festival founded by Adesegun Adeosun of Smade Entertainment and his partner Obi Asika, has been scheduled to feature Africa’s biggest acts like Stonebwoy, Burna Bwoy, Shatta Wale, Wizkid among others.
With barely four days to the popular festival scheduled to take place at the ‘Laboma Beach’, a legal action has threatened it as there has been an application for an injunction by Waterfront Development Ltd and Coastal Property Holdings Ltd.
“We have followed it with a Motion for Interlocutory Injunction to restrain Afro Nation from holding any event on the piece land (including Laboma Beach) particularly from 27th to 30th December 2019. Having tried unsuccessfully to serve the two processes on Afro Nation, the High Court has allowed service of the Writ of Summons and Motion for Interlocutory Injunction to be served, among others, by publication in the Daily Graphic and adjourned to 15th January 2020 for the hearing of the Motion for Injunction.
“The effect of the pendency of the Motion for Interlocutory Injunction is that Afro Nation cannot access the land in dispute including Laboma Beach nor can it hold any event from the 27th to 30th December 2019 until the Motion for Interlocutory Injunction which has been adjourned to 15th January 2020 is heard and the Court orders otherwise,” attorneys for Waterfront Development Ltd and Coastal Property Holdings Ltd, Minkah Premo & Co, is quoted to have told myjoyonline.com.
