Swedru-based artiste, Patapaa has jumped to the defense of self-acclaimed Dancehall king Shatta Wale after an obscene video of the latter leaked.

A video of Shatta Wale and another man receiving a ‘blow job’ from a lady was ended up on the dancehall artiste’s Snapchat resulting in a public uproar.

The ‘Freedom’ hitmaker took to Facebook to jab bloggers for circulating the video and threatened to assault them. 24 hours later however, he did a U-turn by releasing a statement apologizing for the “unfortunate” incident.
Before his formal apology, he had said on Zylofon FM that his friend mistakenly uploaded the video using his Snapchat account.

“I logged in my Snapchat on a friend’s phone. He later sent a video on his camera roll and it went on my snap because I had logged in my account with his phone,” he explained.

Later, Naty Lee, a friend of Shatta Wale, also admitted in a Facebook that he shared the video from his phone.
But Patapaa, who strongly believes the video was doctored to incriminate his ‘father’ indicated that Shatta Wale should not have owned up and publicly apologized since his face wasn’t shown in the video.

Describing the video as a ‘social media hype’ he stressed that Shatta Wale was incapable of such an act.

“…The video doesn’t show faces. I could even imitate my father Shatta Wale’s voice so the video which is out is not true. My father Shatta Wale would not do anything of the sort”, he noted.
