Yvonne Okoro’s ‘Contract’ scores 100% in Kumasi

Last Saturday was a great night for Yvonne Okoro’s Contractin Kumasi.

Initially premiered on Friday 28th December 2012, at the National Theatre, Saturday was the turn of movie lovers in Kumasi to get their share of the drama, romance and comedy.

The Kumasi premiere was held at the new Social Sciences auditorium to a full house. With three shows on the night, the 1500 capacity was booked to capacity for all the three shows.

This is a feat only a few movies have achieved in the Garden City.

An executive of ticketdoug.com, official ticketing agency of the premiere told TotalShowbiz.com that the premiere had been one of the most successful they’ve seen in Ghana so far.

Contract was directed by award winning Shirley Frimpong Manso of Sparrow Productions and stars Nigeria’s Joseph Benjamin and South Africa’s Hlomla Dandala (Jacob’s Cross star).

The movie centers around a successful business man, Peter Poplampo (Played by Hlomla Dandala) and Abena Boateng (Yvonne Okoro), a crude but clever local girl who is anything but impressed with Peter’s affluence and agrees to deliver a baby for him with no strings attached.
