Head of Communications for Zylofon Music and representative of Zylofon artistes, Arnold Asamoah Baidoo has refuted claims that he has rendered an apology to highlife legend, Rex Omar over the latter´s 1million dollar suit against Zylofon for copyright infringement.

“I want to state categorically that I did not apologize to Uncle Rex. Negotiations are still ongoing after he served us with the writ, but I have not apologized to him”, he said.

A publication in Graphic Showbiz, said Arnold in an interview with Kofi Duah, had apologized to Rex Omar over the copyright infringement case.

However, in an interview with Sammy Flex on Zylofon FM, Arnold expressed his disappointment in Graphic Showbiz for their publication stating emphatically that it may affect the case, if it is eventually dragged to court.

“Should we be taken to court if negotiations fall through, it may be used against us. Because the lawyer may tell us to pay what Rex Omar is demanding since we have admitted to the charge and apologized”, he said.

He disclosed that though he cannot disclose the details of what is transpiring between both parties, he is hopeful they will arrive at an amicable solution.

Arnold however, admits that the 1million cedis suit by Rex Omar is quite outrageous but since negotiations started, the latter has been very reasonable and corporative.
