A Solemn Advice to NPP Flag-Bearer Contestants

How does it profit a man, if he gains the whole world and loses his life? Nothing! With this in mind, I shall advise the NPP flag-bearer contestants with their supporters inclusive, to behave professionally responsibly throughout their entire campaign to win the hearts and souls of the NPP delegates. Taking unnecessary digs at your opponents will not yield you the desired results. Insults and lies told about your rivals will never garner you enough votes to win the flagbearership.

The only way you can emerge the winner of the contest is to convince the delegates that when elected, you will credibly manage the affairs of Ghana. Your demonstrable integrity, dynamism, competence, dedication to serve your country and people selflessly, and your proven incorruptibility, are the pivots on which your chances to win the election will revolve.

None of you, the seven or so contestants, can fairly win over the delegates by simply defaming your opponents as some of you have already started doing. Trying to wantonly destroy your opponent will not do the trick for you. Just tell the delegates and Ghanaians how ably you will alleviate their economic hardships, fight the institutional corruption in the country, and end the selective justice in practice under the NDC government. Prove to Ghanaians that you will be the father for all when you win the presidency, but not a father for only your family, cronies, your tribesmen and a few of your party members as it is the order of the day under President Mahama.

Tell Ghanaians how you will fight to end the ongoing armed robbery (insecurity) in the country, how you will create jobs for the unemployed in the society. These are the things that will honestly win you the flagbearership, but not by mischievously undermining your opponent, although a fellow member of the NPP family. This is my advice to the contestants.

Anyone who listens to me and do accordingly will win the slot. The one that has been designated by God to liberate Ghanaians from their current slavery under the hands of the NDC administration will win both the NPP and the subsequent 2016 presidential elections. Ghanaians are crying for a liberator and God has appointed one among the NPP contestants already.
