The Handsome Giant has been pulling all sorts of tricks from his voodoo/hoodoo bag of collusive shenanigans with at least two of the topmost executives at the headquarters of the main opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP). And predictably, the Cash Man has been incessantly and invariably drawing blanks. First was the dastardly attempt by his shills to either scuttle or indefinitely postpone tomorrow's NPP presidential primary, in vacuous hopes of buying time for their serially AWOL race horse. That attempt, too, of course, miserably failed on October 2 instant, when a justice of the Accra Fast-Track High Court back-handedly dismissed the irreparably frayed suit - all puns intended - brought before him by a dumbstruck and silly-faced Monsieur Rexford Agyei Frimpong and his comrade-in-political-mischief, Mr. Oppong Kyekyeku (See "NPP Wins Case to Proceed with Oct. 18 Congress" Starrfmonline.com / Ghanaweb.com 10/3/14).

In sending them off with a brain-addling poke on the protuberant back of the heads of the rascally litigants, the judge was widely reported to have observed that Messrs. Agyei Frimpong and Oppong Kyekyeku had been woefully unable to prove their "membership status" in the New Patriotic Party. In other words, like the Cash Man who apparently instigated these grumpy party poopers, Messrs. Agyei Frimpong and Oppong Kyekyeku had absolutely no business cavalierly presuming to use any legitimately constituted court of law in Ghana to undermine the country's otherwise robust and salutary Fourth-Republican democratic culture.

Now what remains tomorrow is for party delegates to swiftly dispatch the Cash Man and his unconscionable posse of Kamikaze flaks, and then prepare the party to royally duke it out with the Al-Shabab operatives of the so-called National Democratic Congress. The New Patriotic Party agenda, at least before 2014 peters out, ought to include the summary expulsion of NDC moles like Messrs. Oppong Kyekyeku and Agyei Frimpong. It is also imperative for the NPP to promptly prune itself of poisonous political retardants like these rascals and their sponsors and paymasters, in order to retool and position the party for a massive electoral victory come December 2016.

Likewise, whether he decides to, predictably, vacate his membership of the New Patriotic Party in the aftermath of the October 18 plenary delegates' congress, or presidential primary, or not, Mr. Alan John Kwadwo "Quitman" Kyerematen ought to be severely sanctioned for presuming to ride roughshod over party rules, by holding an electioneering press conference with less than 24 hours before the 2014 presidential primary. Mr. Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, the man who apparently so viscerally resents the guts of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, almost as if it was the latter who signed off on the 1982 Mafia-style execution of his father, Justice Agyepong, and his two other judicial associates, may also have to be invited by the NPP's Disciplinary Committee to explain why he ought not be punished for publicly abetting Mr. Kyerematen's imperious breach of party rules.

The time has come for the New Patriotic Party to operate like a serious political party of global renown, if it is to clinch a convincing victory at the polls.
