Fellow NPP members and sympathisers, I plead with you today, Thursday 14 May 2015, to be very objective and analytical in your endeavours to wrestle power from NDC come December 2016. We shall only be deceiving ourselves and behaving like the ostrich that buries its head in the sand when its very backyard is in conflagration, when we believe that all is well within NPP. No, there are still suspicions, disagreements, acts of sabotage and narcissism in the party, especially, among the party gurus and those at NPP headquarters, thus, the elected party executives.
The party Chairman (Mr Paul Afoko) and the party Secretary (Mr Kwabena Agyepong) have glaringly come to be seen to work against the collective interests of the party. They are working against the members of the party and the suffering Ghanaian masses who are clamouring for a change in government come December 2016. They are clearly understandably pursuing their selfish collusive interests that are in contrast to the aspirations and the high expectations of the majority of Ghanaians, especially, of the members of NPP.
Their actions, inactions and omissions vividly point to the fact they are saboteurs scheming for the defeat of NPP in general, and that of Nana Akufo Addo in particular, come election 2016. There is not a shred of doubt in my mind that they are spearheading the dangerously divisive Agenda 2020 aimed at causing the defeat of Nana Akufo Addo to prove their parochial-minded allegation that Nana is too old to win any election. However, we shall nip their plots in the bud before it is too late. I shall personally take it upon myself to ensure these schemers never have the last laugh.
I will normally not do this to someone I proudly address as my son, going by the Akan custom and tradition where I belong to the same Agona Clan as his late father, Accra High Court Justice Agyepong. Additionally, I was friends with his father's nephews, nieces and her late aunt (the late Emmanuel Marfo's mother) counted me as one of her own children. This is how close I was, and I am to his father's relatives. However, I cannot countenance his seemingly selfish, despotic and malevolent behaviour. Those of us, who can read people, can tell without fail that Kwabena Agyepong has no good intentions about NPP. He is totally in pursuance of the hidden stipulations in the alleged AGENDA 2020 as regards causing the defeat of Nana Akufo Addo in 2016 presidential elections.
What makes most of us more and more angry is the fact President Mahama and his NDC government and party have messed, and continue to mess up, the economy, the justice system and the tribal cohesion of Ghana yet, Kwabena Agyepong and his clique of saboteurs are still aspiring, although secretly, to see NDC stay in power until end of 2020.
Everything on the ground indicates that Ghanaians need a change in government from NDC to a more dynamic, less corruptible or completely incorruptible, competent and farsighted government that can better steer the affairs of Ghana for the betterment of all. But Kwabena and his fellow like-minded schemers have totally a different or an opposing agenda. For what they are gaining, will gain or plan to gain, they will rather have NDC still in power after 2016 elections than have Nana Addo.
By this agenda as espoused by Kwabena and his colleagues who are allegedly mostly from Alan Cash's camp, people so malicious to change for the better as exemplified by one Katakyie Kwame Opoku Agyemang, they seek to scupper the dreams of Ghanaians. Why should we allow them, a tiny minority, to take the fate of Ghanaians for granted? Why should we allow these few bad nuts, although dangerous they can be, to spoil Ghanaians' chance of having a much better government in place in the not too distant future?
From Katakyie's published write-ups before, during, and after NPP electing their flagbearer for 2016 elections, one can attest to the fact he still remains the same adamant person who hates Nana Akufo Addo with passion. No one needs telling you that these individuals or group of persons identifying themselves overtly or covertly with the tenets of Agenda 2020 are walking about with their stomachs looking for quick buck to fill them up.
Do we sit on the fence, doing nothing while they seriously indulge in their devious pursuits that have the potential to further wreck the nation? Do we sit with our arms folded around the chest, watching while they carry on with their diabolical secret plans to aggravate the suffering of Ghanaians? No!
To conclude, I shall suggest we remove Kwabena Agyepong from his position as the General Secretary. He must jump before he is pushed over the precipice. Many have lost confidence in him. Many are highly suspicious of his motives. I am not sure he will change as long as he may have been tasked by some faceless people within NDC and probably NPP to do what he is doing. It is better to sack him now that we have ample time to do damage control in case he spills the beans as he has threatened to should he find himself pushed to the wall. I insist we sack him despite his boastful threats. He should not be allowed to hold the party and Ghanaians to ransom. He is a bad nut that has to be removed from the good ones before he further contaminates many others. There is time for everything. Now is the time to expel him from his position to serve as a lesson to would-be saboteurs and haters of the suffering Ghanaian masses.
The determination to weed out, or confront head-on, those saboteurs within NPP who are on a mission to cause the defeat of NPP and Nana Akufo Addo in 2016 continues unabated. I do not want the situation to become "Had I known.." to many of us come 2016 after we have suffered defeat hence calling on all discerning Ghanaians to join me kick out the enemies within the party now that the time is right.
We should not make a mistake that we need them to make up the number because every single vote counts at elections. Bad nuts still remain bad nuts if not worse, to contaminate the good ones.
BAD COMPANY CORRUPTS GOOD CHARACTER. Does this mean anything to us? Does it have relevance to the views hereby expressed?
How do we understand the bible verses (Matthew 5:29-30) - 29"If your right eye makes you stumble, tear it out and throw it from you; for it is better for you to lose one of the parts of your body, than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. 30"If your right hand makes you stumble, cut it off and throw it from you; for it is better for you to lose one of the parts of your body, than for your whole body to go into hell".
"Today is tomorrow's yesterday. Therefore, do not put to tomorrow what you can do today. For tomorrow may be too late for what you can do today" This is simply another expression for "Had I known is always at last".
