Are the Courts Indirectly Aiding Woyome to Abscond with the Money?

Going by the maxim, "Justice delayed is justice denied", many a concerned Ghanaian is beginning to doubt the seriousness and the credibility of the Ghana courts in dealing with the "Woyomegate scandal". The frequency at which the case is adjourned when called for hearing, coupled with the oftentimes flimsy excuses offered, any intelligent person is only right to doubt what the courts are up to.

?

It is all too clear to tell how the Attorney General Department are not keen on seeing Alfred Agbesi Woyome, understandably the Ghanaian swindler of the Century, and the self-styled NDC financier, effectively prosecuted let alone, having him convicted of serious financial crime against the State.

?

Most of the instances of postponements of the hearing of the case originate from the State Attorneys prosecuting Woyome. There is no point enumerating the flimsiest excuses offered for the unnecessary adjournments whenever the case is due for hearing as they are already in the public domain.

?

No matter the hidden intentions of all those involved in prosecuting Woyome, he SHALL be found guilty on the grounds that, he has by his own mouth, declared on air that he never signed any contract with the Government of Ghana to source any money for the refurbishment/construction of CAN 2008 stadia.

?

From a reliable source, Woyome is said to have obtained evidence from an Austrian Bank that they had granted him funds for the refurbishment/Construction of CAN 2008 stadia. This is a cock-and-bull story. Let Woyome come up with any such crap and he will see the response intelligent Ghanaians will give to him.

?

He simply duped Ghana of the GHC51.2 Million; facilitated by the ganging up with the NDC government and party to "create, loot and share". He had better refund the money to Ghana than to seek to continue to play his childish "peek-a-boo - I see you, you don’t see me" game with Ghanaians.

?

Until Woyome pays back the money, he will never have peace but will always be reminded of his crime. The whirlwind will never settle down on this issue until he refunds the money and renders sincere apology to Ghanaians for having swindled us in the first place.

?

Do the courts care about what Ghanaians would say about them if they set the Ghanaian version of the British "Ronnie Biggs" free? I am afraid not.

?

Mr Alfred Agbesi Woyome, you can run with the money, aided by your party cronies and accomplices but I assure you that you CAN’T hide.

?

A word of advice to the wise is sufficient. If fearless and concerned citizens like Rocky does not write about this case, expressing the feelings of the majority of Ghanaians, who else will do?
