.....about Essumeja & Kumawuhemaa's Trickery
It is a known fact that Essumejahemaa has a child by Manso-Nkwantahene. This chief was once, or is still, one of those within the Asanteman Council trusted by Otumfuo Osei Tutu II. He was, or is still confidently entrusted with the arbitration of some chieftaincy disputes within the land under the jurisdiction of the Asanteman Council. Asantehene himself was once, or is still, the sexual soul mate of Kumawuhemaa as per her own disseminations. No wonder how these two ladies have intentionally or otherwise been allowed plenty leeway to hijack the Asanteman Council in tandem with their whims. How devastating this “bottom power” of these two notorious queens has been to the people of Essumeja and Kumawuman. The more the settlement of the case gets delayed, the more the areas under these queens get ruined by lack of purposeful traditional supervision which culminates in the total absence of infrastructural development. Kumawu is ruined and continues to get ruined all due to the myopic, selfish and greedy anticipations of their sitting queen.
My recent investigations do prove that the Essumejahemaa is planning not to appear before the Asanteman Council any time sooner. The last time (this year)) when she was due to present herself before the Council, she did send an emissary with a signed doctor's sick note. A gynaecologist she had seen had signed her off sick for a month for an undisclosed illness. My recent investigations reveal that it was just a hatched plot to get the case deferred, a plan she is bent on pursuing until Asanteman Council lets her off the hook completely. Sensing the failure of the "bottom power", sickness is the next effective available weapon of mass fooling she is resorting to. Why is this tactics effective enough to keep the case in suspense to the worry of many inhabitants of Essumeja? The answer is not farfetched. It is an Asante custom and tradition that one can only refuse to attend an invitation by their superior on the grounds of being sick or dead. The importance of this aspect of tradition is stressed at the swearing-in ceremonies of our chiefs and queens. It then goes to tell when this excuse is exercised, irrespective of how deceitful, abusive and untruthful it may be at that point in time, nobody can override it.
The Essumejahemaa has decided to exploit the loophole in this tradition to her advantage. The undue exploitation of this loophole will not only impact negatively on the people's expectation to have an eligible royal of integrity to rule Essumeja but also, to delay the economic emancipation of the area. She has been confiding in some people that she will start attending numerous medical checkups. Any day, time and date she is scheduled to appear before the Asanteman Council, she will be in a doctor's surgery, hospital or clinic undergoing a medical check-up. How does Asantehene with his Asanteman Council resolve this impasse? This exercise of her traditional right to good health though dubious as it stands, is within the tenets of tradition and international human rights act/law. But for how long will she be allowed to abuse it to the detriment of not only the citizens of Essumeja but also, the demise of Kumawuman?
Why at all is Kumawu chieftaincy resolution tied to that of Essumeja? The cases may be similar, two corrupt "burger" queens who happen to be friends and of questionable royal status in relation to their present areas of jurisdiction, but the problems, needs and aspirations of both areas are totally divergent. Kumawuman suffers periodic cholera outbreaks owing to the poor sanitation, lack of potable water, people defecating in their backyards and nearby pushes etc. These problems may not be the same as those confronting Essumeja. The current outbreak of cholera in Ghana makes me cringe when I imagine the devastation it will wreak on Kumawuman.
Would Asantehene and Asanteman Council explain to me, “Nana John Fosu the No Nonsense man", why Kumawuman should keep marking time while Essumejahemaa devises and plays delay tactics? The Essumeja people who are not showing any signs of pressing for the hearing of their chieftaincy dispute can wait but not Kumawuman. I am wagging my finger at all those responsible for delaying the case just for their selfish sexual desires or corrupt practices that the further they delay it, the more I will castigate them.
How will Kokufohene get the Essumejahemaa to attend the Asanteman summon this month? The onus is not solely upon the head of Kokufuhene to get the queen to appear before the Asanteman Council; it is upon the head of Asantehene and his Council to ensure they are not always taken for fools by these two crafty queens.
It is funny that in this day and age the Asanteman Council is making a big joke of itself by allowing these two "sikadicious" queens to use their "bottom power" to fool them.
I purposely wrote this article to give Asantehene and Asanteman heads-up about the intentions of Essumejahemaa as not to appearing before the Council either later this month or early next month. I hope she is bundled up on a stretcher and taken before the Council if she does resort to her intended plans. She has come to the conclusion that the gynaecology stories will not wash hence devising the medical checkups plan to take place on each very day she is due to appear before the Asanteman Council. Who are those coaching these two anti-development, selfish and greedy queens? Are they Manso-Nkwantahene and Asantehene, their lovers? Who else can the faceless advisors be if they are not their known lovers?
In the name of Jesus Christ, I have today appointed Akwasi Adu Mensah, a.k.a Last Day, as the person to take over from me when I retire from updating my readers on the Kumawuman chieftaincy case. Kwasi is a God-fearing guy who will fight the course of his Kumawuman fellows in line with God’s own expectations. I also call upon Yaw Opoku Mensah to assist him. Yaw, where is Joanna, the late Barima Otu Acheampong’s daughter? Hey Kwasi Sarfo, what are you doing with your Kumawuman Association in Canada towards fighting to rid Kumawuman of your friend, the “sikadicious” queen? Do you still sit upon your knees with the legs crossed out like Japanese before the queen whenever she comes to Canada as you previously used to do? I mean how you pay obeisance to Kumawuhemaa? Do not prostrate before her any longer. Understood?
Until the battle is won, it is “aluta continua” all the way.
