I believe Ghanaians have always wondered why the General Secretary of the NDC revels in the title General Mosquito in spite of all the negativity associated with the insect. To the utter shock of the Ghanaian, Asiedu Nketiah on the 17th January 2013 revealed the mosquito that he is. Indeed, the suffering and devastation cause by the mosquito to the health and wellbeing of humanity in Africa need no recount as we all have experienced malaria and continue to live under its curse.
Asiedu Nketia on Adom FM Morning Show in an interview with Adakabre exhibited his true mosquito traits-recklessness, foolhardiness, selfishness, greediness, noisiness, hopelessness audaciousness, his suicidal and what have you? As the mosquito as he his, he had the audacity to declare that 'One day born, one day die' in apparent reference to the boldness and recklessness that depicts his suicidal mission. Like the mosquito its largest prey or target is the most intelligent specie, Homo sapiens, in other words humans.
But for the above attributes, the mosquito wouldn't have dreamt of choosing its major victim as the human race. The mosquito is on an all-time mission of suicide and recklessness, caring less what portends or holds for its survival or future if it fails on its attack on the most intelligent human specie. Asiedu Nketia, the mosquito that he is chose to assert on the radio that the tugs in NDC’s T-shirts holding canes who besieged the precincts or environs of the Supreme Court during the hearing of his 'idiot' lots quest to join the suit file by Nana Addo and others challenging the disputed election of John Mahama were hired by the NPP.
Instead for Asiedu Nketia to own up and condemn the despicable and harmful acts of his party’s tugs he rather sort to go reckless, caring less the danger of his assertion on the seemingly peace and stability in Ghana after the alleged fraudulent stealing of the peoples mandate in the just ended national elections by his party. Asiedu Nketia as the mosquito rather sought to make the unpleasant noise to insult the intelligence of Ghanaians caring less its potential effect. As the mosquito, it always succeeds on its suicide mission as it chooses mainly to prey on its victim during her state of unconsciousness or in her sleep situation.
But, as greedy, reckless, selfish and with foolhardy, the mosquito takes it chances and attack its victim at times under broad day light in true reflection of its mantra 'One day born, one day die'. The mosquito seldom survives when it attacks its victim under broad day light and always turns the victim and dies helplessly. Asiedu Nketia has played on the intelligence and emotions of the Ghanaian for far too long. He showed his real mosquito traits when he callously declared that his party supporters outnumbers that of the NPP in Accra to wet his suicidal mission if the NPP would be challenged and also organize to meet his tugs on 22nd January 2013 at the environs of the Supreme Court for a show down.
I urge Ghanaians and the NPP to exercise the maximum level of restraint in the face of the utter noise and provocation from the mosquito and his cohorts. Let no body be challenged or be incited by the recklessness of the mosquito on his suicidal mission. Let us remain confident in the option the NPP leadership has chosen and allow the judgment of the honorable Justices of the Supreme Court no matter how long it takes.
Long Live Ghana’s Democratic quest.
