Calls for the arrest of Bawumia recipe for conflicts in Ghana

A former District Chief Executive of Nanumba North district- Bimbila and a development worker Mr. Salifu Saeed popularly called SS has described as highly insensitive calls by the General Secretary of the NDC, Johnson Asiedu Nketia to arrest Dr Mahamud Bawumia over allegations that best fits for political comedy.
Speaking to the media, Mr. Salifu Saeed said that not only was such a call heavily misplaced but also it has the potential of plunging Ghana into serious conflicts in view of the local and international standing of Dr Bawumia.
As a development worker and a former head of the district security committee in Bimbila, I know exactly how irresponsible statements can cause pandemonium and will therefore like to appeal to Asiedu Nketia to do his politics knowing that politics is best done in a peaceful and stable environment. Mr Saeed added.
There is no doubt at all that the constituents of Dr Bawumia, his tribesmen and political party as well as his teaming supporters across the entire political divide will not take kindly to attempts to intimidate and harass one of their own as Asiedu Nketia is advocating. The former DCE intimated.
Dr Bawumia has a reputation of showing gross honestly in all his dealings both at the casual and professional level. His statements on national issues have always turned out to be true and there is no way calls for his arrest for no crime committed than stating the very obvious facts can be seen to be reasonable
An impression should not be created as if a certain political party is using stratagem and back door intimidations to win political power through criminal victimisations. He told the media.

According to Mr. Salifu Saeed peace should be the preoccupation of all Ghanaians and not acts that will have the potential of putting Ghana into instability.
Mr Saeed, also called on the people of the North in particular and sympathisers of Dr Bawumia across the country and beyond to remain calm and not be disturbed by the avowal of Asiedu Nketiah that borders more on political sycophancy than sincerity in the management of issues in Ghana.
Mr Saeed also called on the security agencies and peace bodies to take the statement of Asiedu Nketia as early warning signals of what the NDC intend doing to its political opponents.
