& Rawlings' Era of Mess
As we remember the national blemish of June 4th, NPP Toronto will like to remind Ghanaians of the mess which have been created by the AFRC, pNDC and J.J. Rawlings’ era of destruction and incompetence.
We like you to look into your life and/or that of your fellow Ghanaians and objectively think about the last 35 years or so, especially if you are old enough to have witnessed most or all of that period. We are confident that when you do, you will realise that during this era, Ghana, which has been run by the by the AFRC, pNDC and J.J. Rawlings axis about 80% during this time, has regressed or stood still on most objective scorecards, at best.
Today, gay prostitutes are said to cost more than female ones in our nation. Prostitution, destitution, despondency and corruption seem to be the only things on the ascendency in our nation. Filth is more enveloping than ever. The roads are just as bad and deadlier than ever. Basic necessities of life like water, shelter and sanitation facilities have not advanced. The economy, health care and living standards are worsening for a large majority of the people.
The senselessness and brutality of the AFRC, pNDC and J.J. Rawlings era are more pronounced now than ever before, as we have seen the fullness of the generation of failure of leadership and incompetence provided by these folks. These master usurpers, however, just will not go away. They use guns, tribal divisionism, rigging or whatever means possible to entrench themselves, even when Ghanaians want to change them.
The great oasis of progress achieved briefly during this retrogressive generation, spearheaded by the NPP, led by the gentle giant John Agyekum Kufuor, when that durable party was finally able to overcome the corrupted structures put in place by the AFRC, pNDC and J.J. Rawlings axis, have all been pretty much destroyed by the current manifestation of the AFRC, pNDC and J.J. Rawlings axis, a.k.a. the Mills/Mahama/Amissah-Arthur government.
So, look into your life and/or that of your fellow Ghanaians and be honest with yourself, can Ghana afford the next 35 years to be just as bad as most of the last 35 has been? So, for this June 4th, NPP Toronto wishes Ghanaians to reflect and resolve that never again will we waste so much of our years, mired in incompetent and destructive leadership.
Ghana simply cannot afford another 35 years and counting like the last 35, which started on a June 4th. Fortunately, as Ghanaians, we have fought for the power to start a very new Chapter of progress, beginning right now, by ensuring our election systems are tightened up so that no one could manipulate them again. And, finally, we need to vote MASSIVELY for competence and progress in December 2016, as we did in 2000 and make sure our votes are guarded, counted and announced accordingly.
