Ghanaians and COVID-19

In fact, the citizens of Ghana are being ungrateful to the leadership of the country within this shortest period. The government is working assiduously to satisfy its citizens by providing them free water and electricity.

Yet, the people are not adhering to measures that have been put down by the government to mitigate the spread of the pandemic known as Corona Virus(COVID-19).

Traders are at the market centres. Many people are wandering up and down in the cities and towns and those who are hungry are running for take-away food.

Undoubtedly, people are oblivious of the pandemic. The security personnel who are to make sure that people are adhering to the measures are hesitating to do the work to perfection.

The question I ask myself is, are people aware of +of the pandemic which has taken the life of many people in China, Italy, USA, United Kingdom(UK) and Spain? If yes, why are people flouting the measures put down by the government to combat the pandemic? Is it because people are not satisfied with what the government has done? Or is their behaviour trying to depict that the successive governments do not perform their duties to improve the life of the Ghanaian citizenry?

Are the people trying to draw the government's attention that food that is being shared is not shared equally? Are the security personnel not receiving the one hundred CEDI's food provided by the government as it was alleged previous week?

My humble appeal is that the government should go back and come with new measures to restrict movement before things get worse.
