Agyapadie is an Akan word meaning property owned by a person or group of people. I have heard many people speak about the propaganda book widely known as Agyapadie. I will not waste my precious time reading the Agyapadie article, book, or fiction. I will not have time to waste; I know the good people of Ghana are also saying the same thing. From my investigation, the book or document has two titles without an author.
The first title was known as Akyem Mafia, which was published in 2018. The name was later changed to Agyapadie. The book has been edited on many occasions as there has been new political development in the country.
When I wake up and listen to the NDC presidential candidate speak about the implementation of what is in the book, I cannot think far but only reflect on the word incompetent. But what makes me surprised is how many other influential people are spending their precious time reading and talking about the book. I look back, and I say to myself, The enemies of Ghana who are Ghanaians can be defeated and should be defeated. University senior lecturers and professors talk boldly about a book without an author; that is not how scientists and researchers are trained.
Why should any serious Ghanaian waste time reading and talking about the blather article by Agyapadie?
I have taken notice that the opposition party NDC is making much noise about the fake document to score political points by associating the book with Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, president of Ghana. But what they do not understand is that many Ghanaian youth who have been empowered by Nana Akufo-Addo's free senior high school policy can read and interpret fake documents as fake.
Nana Akufo-Addo Agyapadie is the Free Senior Secondary School (FSHS). In the 2016 presidential campaign, the NPP, under the leadership of Nana Akufo-Addo, proposed a policy of free senior secondary school to Ghanaians, and when Ghanaians voted for him, he implemented the FSHS in 2017. This is the will (AGYAPADIE) the president, Nana Akufo-Addo, has given Ghanaians and the
next generation of Ghanaian leaders, especially the youth. Education, they say, is power. Akufo-Addo knows the importance of education, so he made FSHS his number-one priority policy.
This is a policy that is capital intensive, so if the president wants to enrich himself and the family, do you think he will implement FSHS?
The legacy of Nana Akufo-Addo is there for every Ghanaian to see. I will not be surprised if they are the same people who cancelled the teachers' and nurses' allowance; they also gave out our bauxite reserves to their close relatives without recourse to the people of Ghana through parliament.
The security service should investigate and bring the perpetrators to justice; the book is a security threat to the peace of the nation. The media should also refrain from talking about the book or article without facts or evidence. I am surprised renowned journalists spend their time talking about a book they know presents false statements. All the names that are mentioned in the book, without evidence, should sue those making the allegation of defamation.
There is no Agyapadie being implemented by Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo that is more important than the free SHS.
