Is Atta-Mills A Nkrumahist or a Neo-Colonialist?

President John Evans Atta-Mills in 2008 was pictured in the above picture holding a placard telling the whole world and Ghanaians that ‘GHANAIANS ARE CAPABLE OF MANAGING GHANAIAN COMPANIES (AFFAIRS/BUILDING THEIR OWN HOUSES)’ during a CJA led demonstration during the sale of Ghana Telecom to Vodafone. Fast forward to 2010 and what do we see? This same man is telling us that the GHANAIAN IS NOT CAPABLE OF BUILDING SIMPLE 1-4 BEDROOM HOUSES? But rather STX Korea, a Neo-Colonialist/Imperialist company like Vodafone.

The question we should be asking President Atta-Mills is what has changed between 2008 and 2010 that the Ghanaian can not be trusted to manage his own affairs?

President Atta-Mills goes around quoting President Kwame Nkrumah of blessed memory as well as he being his mentor to the extent that he spends a whole year celebrating his 100 birthday but what will President Nkrumah say to this STX deal if he was to be alive today when Ghana takes a sovereign guarantee of $10b for a foreign/neo-colonialist company to build us simple houses when Ghana has over 200 Estate Developers under GREDA as well as State organisations in charge of building.

How come someone who claims to have been a Young Pioneer and have had the privilege to have attended the prestigious Kwame Nkrumah Ideological Institute turn Ghana into a Neo-Colonial State?

For those who do not know what Neo-Colonialism stands for? Dr Nkrumah spoke and wrote/published his now famous book called NEO-COLONIALISM, THE LAST STAGE OF IMPERIALISM in 1965. This book caused such an uproar in the USA State Department that a sharp note of protest was sent to Kwame Nkrumah, and the $25m of American ‘aid’ to Ghana was promptly cancelled.

This book exposes the working of foreign monopoly capitalism in Africa and shows how the stranglehold of foreign monopolies perpetuates the paradox of Africa which is ‘POVERTY IN THE MIDST OF PLENTY’. This book is currently the only book of Nkrumah banned by western major book outlets including Amazon.com. What then is Neo-Colonialism? It is the State which in theory is independent and has all the outward trappings of international sovereignty. But in reality its economic system and thus its political policy is directed from outside. The result of this is that foreign capital is used for the exploitation rather than for the development of less developed parts of the world. Investment under neo-colonialism increases rather than decreases the gap between the rich and the poor countries of the world.

Dr Nkrumah said so called foreign investment must be invested in accordance with a national plan drawn up by the government with its own interest in mind so where is the national plan/policy that has been drawn up by the current NDC Government with the STX in their 2008 manifesto that brought them into power? The approval of this obnoxious/dirty STX deal by the NDC majority has proved to us all that reason has been sacrificed for political greed, selfishness, jealousy, and silly pettiness which is the ideology of Rawligsism and the NDC as a Party.

Ghanaian companies have been sacrificed for Neo-colonialist STX for $10b with the NDC majority benefitting in kind and gifts all in the name of indiscretion as the new name for corruption with a wolf in a sheep skin so called Nkrumahist but a true Neo-Colonialist.

God Help Ghana and Africa
