He is Just Pretending?
For Rawlings to continually assert that former President Kufour’s NPP administration was the most corrupt in the annals of Ghana’s governance is pure madness and a blow below the belt. ? Rawlings has eyes yet he seems not to see. Rawlings has ears but he does not hear because his ears seem fully waxed. For Rawlings to be silent over the blatant perpetuation of unprecedented corruption by the Mahama NDC-led government only to play diversionary tactics aimed at drawing the public’s focus from Mahama on to Kufour is an act of callousness, if not insanity. ? If he was truthful, sees and reasons like any discerning Ghanaian, Rawlings would see that Mahama with his government is the most corrupt person in Ghana only to be rivalled for that position by him, Rawlings. Does he not see or hear all the near-officially sanctioned acts of corruption in perpetration by Maham, his family, friends and the NDC gurus? ? Nobody supports the corrupt Ghanaian politicians except fools and the beneficiaries of that corruption. As enviously hypocritical, myopic, power drunk and a liar as Rawlings is, he will unceasingly lambast former President Kufuor at any window of opportunity. For unexplained reasons, he is scared shitless of the Mahama government. Is he apprehensive of General Mosquito Johnson Asiedu Nketiah caging him if he starts barking at John Mahama hence, always praising Mahama upon all his established and perceived acts of corruption? ? Former President Rawlings should not deceive himself into thinking he is an altruist. He should not think he is an authority on justice in Ghana. Someone who calls for the celebration of William Atuguba (JSC) after his absurd verdict, because it favoured his NDC party, is unwitty if not completely insane. ? I should expect Rawlings to call for the prosecution of both past and present politicians that are perceived or are established to be corrupt, with him inclusive. Majority of sensible Ghanaians do not support corrupt politicians, the bane of Ghana’s socio-politico-economic advancement, regardless of their political persuasion, be they NPP or NDC. ? I expect Rawlings to endeavour to be fair and talk sensibly, but not as biased as he has always been when discussing Kufuor and his government. ? A word to the wise is sufficient! ? Rockson Adofo
