Is it a crime for former President Kufuor to name his preferred candidate for president come election 2024?

In a democracy, thus, a multi-party system of government, each citizen has the right to choose or mention a candidate they prefer to win election. Am I right?

If it is a yes, why should a said Dela Edem, an NDC communicator, rain insults on former President John Agyekum Kufuor for declaring his support and preference for Dr Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia to emerge the president-elect come election 7 December 2024?

Has Dela himself not been supportive of John Dramani Mahama and wishes him to win the election? Has anyone insulted him for campaigning for Mahama, even as clueless, incompetent, liar and visionless as he is?

Dela, as ignorant as he is, does not know or appreciate the value of redenomination of a country’s currency when it becomes overly devalued and near worthless.

Is it not easier to carry say, one thousand Ghana New Cedis (Ghc1,000.00), after redenominated than ten million old Cedis (Cedis 10,000,000.00) where the value of both is the same?

What is that damn ignorant, partisan, and politically polarised Dela Edem telling Ghanaians? Did he expect former President Kufuor to nominate Mr Mahama over the most intelligent, dynamic, innovative, visionary, respectable and respectful Dr Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia aka Mr Digital?

Let Dela Edem or whoever that ignoramus is, know that former President Kufour is not wheelchair-bound because of his sins, committed crimes or how badly he governed Ghana, but because of sheer illness that can befall anyone anytime.

May I use this publication to tutor Dela Edem, a probably “akuraase taaman” and an NDC bigot sauntering through the streets of Ghana with an air of machismo surrounding him on how Jesus explains why some people may get sick. He said in the gospel of John 9:1-3 under the title, “Jesus Heals a Man Born Blind” that:

“1 As he went along, he saw a man blind from birth.

2 His disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?”

3 “Neither this man nor his parents sinned,” said Jesus, “but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him.

Therefore, former President Kufour’s sickness may not be the result of his sins, mismanagement of Ghana, if at all he did mismanage the country, but something else.

Therefore, Dela Edem, must do the needful by apologising to former President Kufour and the whole nation for acting in an inward-looking manner towards him.

Inward-looking is defined as “not willing to consider ideas that are different from your own, or to work together with people from different groups or places”

Dr Bawumia will win the election by the grace of God, regardless of how far the NDC cry foul.

Indeed, fools abound in NDC, especially, within their foot soldiers aspiring for positions should Mahama win the election but which he won’t, Insha Allah!
