Alan Kyerematen, leader and founder of the Movement for Change, has paid a courtesy visit to the Iranian Embassy in Ghana to extend his heartfelt condolences following the tragic death of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and other senior officials.

After signing the book of condolences, Mr. Kyerematen met with Bijan Gerami, the Iranian Ambassador to Ghana.

They had an insightful discussion about the great potential for strengthening bilateral relations between Ghana and Iran, especially in the areas of manufacturing, trade, and technology.

President Raisi passed away last Sunday afternoon after his aircraft, which also carried nine other officials, including Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian, went missing in Iran’s mountainous northwestern region near the Azerbaijan border.

On Monday morning, relief workers located the missing helicopter.

State TV reported that the bodies of the president and the other officials on board had been identified.
