LGBT rights against Ghanaian customs and tradition

As recent as the 1950s, homosexuality was deemed as a psychological disorder in the United States; the American Psychiatric Association’s diagnostic manual enlisted homosexuality as a Sociopathic Personality Disorder in 1952.

The following year, President Dwight D. Eisenhower signed an Executive Order that banned homosexuals from working for the federal government.

Sociophatic Personality Disorder is defined officially as a disorder where the individual has little to no regard or consideration for social norms and mores, other individuals or rules and laws. Because of this lack, they tend to treat people callously and have no empathy or compassion towards others and think nothing of being untruthful or deceitful.

This comes to the conclusion that those who practice such ungodly, ghastly and hideous activity should be regarded as sociophatic Personalities hence are mentally incapacitated.

It is quite regrettable to see people who pride themselves as educationist support an act which animals see as forbidden and still refer to their ancestors as narrow-minded people.

At this juncture, I submit that Ghanaian culture do not accept the fact that sociophatic is not a "Disorder".

It is still a mental "Disorder", unlike other Disorders. What was discovered as a mental disorder in the 90's is still a Disorder and had even mutated to an incredible stage. We are not ready to incorporate in our norms acts that will be apathetic to our culture.
