Letter From The President: Brutality and Stupidity

Countrymen and women, loyalists and opponents I vowed sometime ago that I would never write about the police again. At the time I felt that I had said all I needed to say about the police and that they seemed unwilling and unprepared for reform. I thought that their level of unprofessionalism had sunk so low that whether I egged them on or not, they couldn?t sink any further and that the only way for them to go was up. I was wrong. The police force in Sikaman never ceases to negatively impress me. It?s impressive that they found a way to sink further into the depths of unprofessional conduct when I thought that such a feat was impossible to achieve.

Last Friday, the police were at their unprofessional worst again ? killing innocent, law abiding citizens (including two hapless women) under the guise of chasing armed robbers. You know the story and it depresses me so much that I don?t think I need to tell it again. As I very caring president, I don?t think I can look on unconcerned. That?s why I am compelled to break the vow I took sometime ago. Hope you understand.
