Letter from The President: Welcome home, Kofi

Dearest Kofi,
Your countrymen salute you. We are all very proud of you that’s why we showed up in our number at the airport to welcome you home a few days ago. You’ve done us proud with your ten illustrious years at the helm of the United Nations.

Forget about all the minor criticisms people (especially those in the west) heap on you. They say, for example that you made a mess of the oil-for-food programme and that you sat down unconcerned as your son, Kojo, enriched himself with cash from that programme. They also claim that you didn’t act as quickly as you could on the war in Darfur.
