Perhaps, His Excellency the President Akufo-Addo is learning what it's like to have the shoe on the other foot. May I seek your permission to take your minds back to the dramatic year of 2015 which saw the removal from office of the legitimately elected National Chairman of the NPP Paul Afoko, General Secretary Kwabena Agyepong and 2nd Vice Chair Sammy Crabbe. It's trite knowledge that, the basis for the removal of the trio from office which remains unchanged were, the crafty conversion of juicy rumours, telling of wicked lies, brewing of suspicions, the inordinate lust for the peddling of unfounded allegations by paid agents within the party. The brouhaha that was occasioned by the diversion of party funds into a dormant party account by Freddy Blay and Abankwa Yeboah with the express consent of He who must be obeyed undoubtedly fitted the wicked agenda of persons who made it a daily enterprise to work for their removal from office much to the chagrin of the silent majority of well meaning patriots. Many expected the then flagbearer Nana Akufo-Addo an acclaimed protector of human rights to shepherd the party along a path based on the principles of natural justice. To the contrary Nana Addo supported a well orchestrated ground game that spewed vile propaganda, wicked, farcical and ludicrous allegations were bandied about without a shred of evidence. Nevertheless they were relentless in their hounding of Paul, Kwabena and Crabbe from office.

Today, H.E Nana Akufo-Addo is the President of this republic. The trio, as it was largely reported in the media, wished him well upon his assumption to the Highest Office of the land. With the magnitude of goodwill President Akufo-Addo garnered by a whopping 1million plus votes it was everybody's wish to see him extend an olive branch to all.
Unfortunately, Nana and the Hawks around him have rather deepened the so called divide.

Today is it not amazing that Nana Addo feels so scandalised by similar unsubstantiated allegations of being on the take, that he has taken the rather curious step of a Sitting President making a complaint to the Police. Wonders shall never end. Karma they say is a bitch as what caused the trio to be removed from office is today knocking on the doors of President Akufo-Addo. The beleaguered GFA boss, Lawyer is caught on audiovisuals of ace investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, boasting about how he shared with President Akufo-Addo and his Vice President Dr Bawumia, $8 million windfall from a business man. What's more intriguing is, the careful choice of wording of Lawyer Kwesi Nyantakyi as was heard on the video tape and the precision in his language. This time, the deputy Chief of Staff, Abu Jinapor told the world the instructions giving by President Akufo-Addo to the CID to order the arrest of Kwesi Nyantakyi over what they claim, conveniently, as "influenced peddling." In this case of President Akufo-Addo, which has preponderance of evidence attached to it, he's catch a cold feet and caused the arrest of Nyantakyi over an allegation leveled against him and what he conveniently described as influence peddling and defrauding by false pretense? You are laughing out loud? Hahaha. It's nobody's wish to see another man's fall however like the civil rights champion, Reverend Dr Martin Luther King Jr aptly puts it "

The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice."

The boot is on the other foot. When it was done to General Kwabena Agyepong , Paul Afoko and Crabbe, President Akufo-Addo saw nothing wrong with it......

I leave all with these words as the Americans put it fourtrightly  "Good always triumphs over evil. The righteous will always prevail over those cruel in heart."
