Make armed robbery a terrorist act.

The Ghanaian Parliament must consider as a matter of urgency ARMED ROBBERY as an act of TERRORISM and must face death, after conviction by a competent Court of Justice.
It has become imperative that the acts of the armed robbers are so enormous and beyond the understanding and comprehension of the people of Ghana.
These ARMED ROBBERS have neither sympathy nor compassion for their victims. They do brutalise their victims.
In the early hours of Saturday, March 14, 2015, a 32-year-old man of OPAREKROM near Nsawam in the Eastern Region was burnt to death by ARMED ROBBERS, who attacked his residence.
According to ADOM NEWS, published on Ghana web, eyewitness Clifford Gawu said the victim was attacked by unidentified ARMED ROBBERS, locked him up in a room, set the house on fire and bolted with his vehicle.
This is a very straight account of the situation but very pathetic scene which must not be taken for granted. Investigations should commence immediately to apprehend the culprits.
Of late, police and military personnel have been involved in armed robbery. Quite recently, an Army Sergeant was arrested with five civilians in the Brong Ahafo Region. The arrest, according to a report on Ghana web, followed a tip-off.
I believe many of these military personnel, in collaboration with some civilians, are deeply involved in the ARMED ROBBERY and the earlier the law is passed the better for all Ghanaians. The history of ARMED ROBBERY started soon after the PNDC Administration changed to the NDC.
A COMMANDO GROUP, which was established under the PNDC, was disbanded after the NDC took power without taking stock of the Arms and Ammunition distributed to them (COMMANDOS). This is a big problem and a sad situation facing Ghana and it behoves every Ghanaian to help arrest all the armed robbers. Give the tip-off and you will never be mentioned but will be rewarded.
