It is not clear just what he means, when Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe vehemently calls on Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to "stamp his authority and bring sanity into the NPP" (See "Call Loudmouth Communicators To Order - Nyaho-Tamakloe Tells Akufo-Addo" MyJoyOnline.com 6/10/13).
First of all, such call is grossly misdirected. In reality, the sometime ambassador to Eastern Europe ought to have addressed his complaint to Mr. Jake Obetsebi-Lamptey, the National Chairman of the main opposition New Patriotic Party, and not the 2008 and 2012 Presidential Candidate of the NPP.
Then also, I find it to be rather bizarrely absurd that the complainant would so cavalierly presume that just because somebody is a founding member of the NPP, automatically authorizes that member to make any mischievous and nihilistic public remarks about the party's ongoing Supreme Court presidential-election petition without being equally vehemently challenged.
In the case of Dr. Nyaho-Tamakloe, the critic's blood ties with the first respondent to the Akufo-Addo petition, President John Dramani Mahama, is widely known. And so Dr. Nyaho-Tamakloe cannot deviously and mischievously pretend that the glaring fact of his vested interest in the NDC/Mahama side of the petition is totally lost on his fellow members and founding patriarchs of the NPP.
Then also, trotting in the names of Messrs. Kwame Pianim and Charles Wereko-Brobbey does not positively advance his cause; for these two gentlemen are well-known internal detractors of Nana Akufo-Addo's, for reasons that time does not permit this writer to delve into.
Similarly, trucking in the names of Mr. Odoi-Sykes, my in-law; Messrs. Peter Ala Adjetey and B. K. Adama does not help matters any further, because these NPP stalwarts are/were self-respecting and dignified team players who never attempted to either flagrantly betray the salient tenets of the party, or deliberately and sneeringly subject its agenda to public ridicule, perhaps with the unstated objective of scoring cheap political points among their relatives, friends and associates inside the so-called National Democratic Congress, in the dubious name of statesmanship.
Indeed, what rankles many of those of us who have boldly and frontally taken on Dr. Nyaho-Tamakloe is the fact that the landmark decision to contest the Mahama presidency was collectively taken at the national executive level by consensus. And so for NPP "operatives" or key players like Dr. Nyaho-Tamakloe to cavalierly presume that they can capriciously and whimsically break ranks by subjecting the party's agenda to public scorn and ridicule, constitutes the very height of insufferable arrogance.
It is also insulting for Dr. Nyaho-Tamakloe and his ilk to so casually presume to associate the names of Messrs. Danquah, Busia and Dombo with addled passivity and ideological timidity.
