NPP Media Houses Crumbling Like A Pack Of Cards!

Who say change no good? Change is good “paapa”.

But for change, we will not be witnessing the collapse of NPP media houses.

It is not that Nana Biakoye wants to have a one-way press; far from it.

But I cannot run away from the fact that I am enjoying watching NPP media houses collapse.

It started immediately after the NPP lost power and The Daily Guide dismissed over 30 workers at a go.

After 8 years of benefiting from not less than 6 full page adverts per every issue, The Daily Guide, very early in the day, felt the heat of the defeat and so threw out the workers.

Besides the full page ads, it is alleged that lots of vendors were on the payroll of the Youth Employment and it was their job to make sure that they position The Daily Guide in such a way that it will always catch the attention of potential buyers.

As if that was not enough, Fortune Alimi, the acting editor, has also been quietly booted out.

Fortune is supposed to be on study leave but the truth of the matter is that, Gina Blay and her husband have decided not to open the door again for Fortune.

So a misfortune has hit Fortune Alimi.

Next to feel the heat of not having free national security and cocaine money, was the Statesman.

Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko’s Statesman is dead and buried.

He claims that his paper is now on-line. On-line indeed!!!

Of course, with Ken Ofori-Atta’s Databank also facing serious liquidity problems, the Statesman is no longer on our newsstands.

Now, it is Ken Kuranchie’s Searchlight, that is seriously searching for light.

Ken’s paper is in darkness and is seriously searching for light.

But where will the light come from? Certainly not from the NDC.

With the NPP cash strapped, and with Francis Poku no more pumping money, Ken Kuranchie will spend years searching for light.

Ken Kuranchie cannot find money to go into print and has laid off his workers.

Meanwhile, Kennedy Agyepong’s Kencity empire is also crumbling.

NET 2 and Oman FM are collapsing. The money is not flowing waa waa waa again.

Of course, there is a shortage of cocaine money in the system and so lots of businesses associated with the narcotics peddlers party are suffering.

They thought the cocaine money will continue to flow waa waa waa isn’t it? Naniama!!!

And am I hearing that Kennedy Agyepong has been deducting social security contributions from the meager salary of his workers but does not pay the money to SSNIT? Phew!

If it is true, the law enforcement agencies should quickly move in and investigate the matter.

To use Kufuors bad grammar, “the matter should be investigated to the bottom”.

They should ask The Ghanaian Lens, Democrat and co how they survived.

They had no money (and still do not have any money) but are still surviving.

It is commitment, and not money, that is keeping the NDC papers going.

The NDC was built on solid principles and not on dirty money and so money or no money, they keep the flame burning.

It has been only 6 months since the narcotics peddlers party left power and its media houses are bleeding badly.

At this rate, only God knows what will happen in the remaining seven and a half years that President Atta Mills has, to build a Better Ghana.

Of course, in building a Better Ghana, I guess we can do without rubbish newspapers and rubbish media houses that have no inheritance in the Better Ghana that is being built.

Poor Ken Kuranchie; I will not be surprised if he starts knocking on the door of the NDC begging for food to eat.
