NPP destroying rural development in Afram Plains

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo

Dear Naa Torshie,

I have been worried since you were haphazardly appointed to administer the District Assemblies Common Fund. I was not surprised when a lawsuit was instituted against your failing government for the strange formula you adopted to share the fund.

As if that was not enough you have now decided to completely jeopardize rural development by giving a silly directive to the Metropolitan, Municipal and District assemblies to utilize the DACF as follows:

40% for school Feeding

20% for nation builders corps

20% for planting for food

20% normal activities...

Are you actually in your right senses of administration at all?

When did the law allow any local authority to donate development cash to your foot soldiers as pocket money? I mean the Planting for food and Jobs was rolled out incompetently with a Canadian grant secured by the John Maham administration so how are you asking for this money if not to steal?

According to the bogus 2018 budget you said you are allocating GHc500,000.00 for the nation builders corp. When was it migrated to DACF?

If u take a place like Sekyere Afram Plains the only sources of development for the district are the common fund and the district development facility.

All these have been in arrears for sometime now. The assembly has only 6 schools for school feeding. What sense is there in spending 40% of its share of the common fund on feeding schools?

What is the usefulness of the builders corps to the people of Sekyere Afram Plains when they don’t even have buildings in most of the communities. You are giving 20% to them for development while 20% is being shipped to your party executives under the guise of planting for food and jobs.

Naa, do you expect an assembly with almost zero IGF to survive on 20% for both infrastructure and recurrent expenditure? Are you not lacking common sense approach to solving problems?

You really want a meagre 20% of an already insufficient common fund to take care of sanitation, security, education, health, Social Welfare, the Courts; I mean all the governmental agencies within the District, including infrastructural development while 40% goes for school feeding?

Awwww, no wonder Obinim Sticker has been prescribed for you, I think you now need TB Joshua Holy Water too, for your incompetence is beyond Super.
