Watching and listening to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) communicate their campaign messages to the Ghanaian public, the writer is not very enthused about it.
Some of the leaders, when given the opportunity to mount the platform to speak to the audience, do make some statements that infuriate some people and raise doubts in the minds of others as to whether the upcoming election will be free and fair.
When on an electioneering campaign tour, you deliver your messages in an appealing manner but not stubbornly authoritatively. This detected problem that gave rise to this publication is not unique to the NPP but also to the National Democratic Congress.
The leaders of the NPP must bear in mind that as the gifts of the Holy Ghost are many, with each person having their own as bestowed on them by God, they had better avail themselves of sensible suggestions made to them to brighten their chances of “breaking the 8," irrespective of the social status of whom it is coming from.
Does the NPP have a strategist going into the election 2024 at all?
Remember, a strategist is different from a campaign manager. If they do, the strategist had better devise a strategic method of delivery of their messages to their audience to convince them to vote for the NPP.
The political ground is slippery and slopes quite steeply. This is an indisputable fact that the NPP must accept and deal with. Therefore, it will need a strategist worth his salt to steer the NPP safely to her destination, thus breaking that nauseating 8-yearly cyclical rotation of political power between the NPP and the NDC.
It is not by threats, intimidations, or deceptions that a successful electioneering campaign is executed, but by wisdom, tactic, engagement of the audience, knowing and understanding the sensibilities of the crowd, and respecting them, regardless of who and what they are.
During campaigns, those lucky enough to be offered the opportunity to mount platforms to speak to the crowd should please bring themselves to the level of the people and see them as their co-equals to be able to speak to them with respect and turn their hearts towards them to vote for the NPP.
Why are orators able to persuade their audience? How do orators communicate their views and messages? This is a quiz for the NPP coming from that son of Kumawu/Asiampa soil.

Until then, I shall plead with Ghanaians to vote to elect Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as the president of Ghana on December 7, 2024. He is overflowing with noble ideas capable of putting Ghana on the sound path to economic prosperity. Trust me, he is!
