NPP’s Defeats –The kufour factor Part 1 to 4: Rejoinder

It is universally accepted that every human being is endowed with common sense. However, in our modern society some people do not possess what we call common sense. It is the same with Akufo Addo sycophant Mahama Haruna who seems to be an exception to this rule. His accusation of NPP defeat of Kufuor’s is totally insulting and politically nonsensical. He should not blame John Agyekum Kufuor for Akufo Addo’s defeat in the 2008 general elections. He should rather blame Akufo Addo himself for exacerbating his personal arrogance and also for being disrespectful to Ghanaians by referring to them as “you” Ghanaians instead, of being inclusive by saying “we” Ghanaians. This is indicative of Akufo Addo’s negative motives for creating division within the UP/PP/ NPP tradition for his own self preservation political interest.

For selfish Haruna’s information as stipulated by our Ghanaian Constitution John Agyekum Kufour cannot run for a third term as an NPP presidential candidate. But your Akufo Addo, who uses dubious means to get the NPP party’s nomination which belongs to the same UP tradition he helped to jeopardize in 1979 general elections, was the one running for the presidency in Ghana. John Agyekum Kufuor does not owe Akufo Addo anything; whereby Kufuor should beg Akufo Addo and campaign for him for twenty-four hours a day. Kufuor cannot and should not have any legal or political rights to hand pick Akufo Addo to succeed him as Ghana’s president for NPPs third term. So what is your beef with Kufuor! Knucklehead?

Let’s face facts, Ladies, Gentlemen and Nananum, I wanted to make this information loud and clear to all the UP/PP/NPP traditional members across the world. They should realize that what John Agyekum has done for the tradition; even Kofi Boakye Danquah and Kofi Abrefa Busia could not do what John Agykum Kufuor has done for the UP/PP/NPP tradition. He is the only one who has brought the party to office for a second time in a row after almost thirty years in opposition. He did so by selling his parent’s properties and used the revenue to win power for the tradition. In addition, Kufour’s parents were not politicians, but a business oriented family, as compared to your Akufo Addo’s parents who benefited from using these traditional names and establishments to become affluent. Akufo Addo benefited from his parent’s wealth from the UP tradition which some of the current majority of NPP member’s ancestor died for. He did not sell any of his family properties as John Agyekum Kufuor did for the party. Yet still Akufo Addo continued to benefit for their name recognition through the tradition he divided into two for his self-aggrandizing political interest.

Henceforth, before you come out with your stupid unfounded allegations against some- one, you need to do good research on your facts in your so-called handout education you have from your yellow journalism studies. Let me take this opportunity to educate you about what you don’t know about the reasons why your Akufo Addo lost the election. Akufo Addo lost the 2008 election not only through his arrogance, but through his own trabalistic ideology he established within the NPP. In 2005 when the NPP was about to go to the Congress to elect their Party National Executive Board, John Agyekum Kufour realized that it would be in the best interest for party members to elect someone from the Brogn -Ahafo Region as NPP chairman, in essence to balance geographical powers for the party strong hold areas. This plan was clogged immediately by this Akufo Addo, Dan Kwaku Botwe and Yaw Osafo Marfo who orchestrated a coup d’eta against Kufour on the election day at the University of Ghana. If Akufo Addo had been showing respect and listening to John Agyekum Kufuor, he would have won the election easily. NPP lost the elections due to ineffective campaigning in the region to increase the party’s number gains when Kufuor ran for the office in two terms. The overall decline in numbers in the region was a huge loss for the party.

The question I’m asking myself is, who is Mahama Haruna? If you are truly Haruna Mahama, who claim to have a root in the UP tradition, I urge you to provide a photocopy of your voting registration I D card in your article. Since you claim that you are not using a ghost name? I sent my investigators to the Northern Region to find out who is this so-called Haruna Mahama but they could not find him. As a result of that, I urge you to provide proof of your own identity if you are not from Gabby Octere Darko’s and Co.; groups who are now hiding behind the media and talking all this political nonsense. Why cannot your Akufo Addo tell the public the reasons why he lost the election? You said “ I’m not writing because of support for any individual party member. I once worked for Akufo Addo as a member of his communication committee” Your assertion alone amplifies the support you have for Akufo Addo. That is why you work for him. You have the right to support your preferred choice of candidate. But John Agyekum Kufuor has no right to support whoever he wants. Very interesting story from someone like you! My ancestors shed their blood in support for Kofi Boakye Danquah. At that time they believed he was the best man to lead the UP tradition to achieve their party’s and the nation’s economic goals. Yet again my ancestors did not give their blood to build the UP tradition for his presidential candidate to seek voodoo intervention instead of God’s intervention; to win power for the tradition they died for. Currently I also believe there is nobody in NPP party who has better vision than Alan Kwadwo Kereymanteng to lead the NPP to return the power back to the party. Anybody with a clear sound mind will support Alan. Because the Lord God’s hands are upon him, he is the NPPs Joshua God has appointed to lead his people. Your Akufo Addo, the 70 year old man, will never become a president in Ghana! If you want to know why? I ‘ll respond to your next article.
