No! Mr. vice President

,It's Time To Give Life To Nkrumah's Dream Of"Ghana is Free And Free Forever"

His Excellency the Vice President,John Dramani Mahama has tasked Ghanaians to use the memory of Africa's man of the millennium, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, to move the continent to the next stage of development. But Mr. Vice President, how can we Africans move our continent to another stage if we are inter-countries not linked?

Our independence, democracy, freedom of press and speech is only written on a piece of paper, without effective practice, how can we as "Dzi Wo Fi Asem" Africans move to a continental stage of development?

If a party member Nana Konadu is not even allowed to use her rented hall in Cape coast to say thank you to her well wishers, the former President Kufour cannot own an office in Accra, 26 Ghana Police officers were arbitrary sacked in Accra just because they were interviewed by the pressmen concerning their living conditions in Accra as police officers.

How good do you want to sell any idea of a continental African uinty with such mentality. Not forgetting too how Ghanaian people failed to render assistance to our neighbourhood Ivory Coast, with the "Dzi Wo Fi Asem" excuse, where Ghana intentionally boycotted help to our Ivorian brothers.

The vice president said we have to unite as Africans and move our continent to another stage during the 3rd Founders Day Celebration of the Birthday of Kwame Nkrumah (Sept 21st), a day set aside by government as a statutory public holiday. Representatives at the function were three former presidents John Agyekum Kufuor of Ghana, former President of Germany, Horst Kohler and former South African President Thabo Mbeki, Politicians, Parliamentarians and some members of the diplomatic corps.

According to His Excellency the Vice President, John Dramani Mahama ?Even though Africa is making progress, we are not making progress fast enough. We can make this progress faster if we elaborate our markets and our economic muscle as a continent and as a people. It is time to give life to the dream of a united Africa, we can see a much greater progress than we are seeing today,? he said.

To him, considering how developed other countries are, there is no way they are going to move away from the 'front lane' to be overtaken. ?we have to work together and pull ourselves, to move up to the front of the queue.?

A very good talk from the vice-President, but we have not even been able to start it in Ghana let alone continental wise

Even though the vice president John Dramani said ?Let us use the memory of this great leader (Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah) to steer our continent on to the next stage of the vision of the founders of our nation. If political parties cannot operate together in terms of governance, how can Ghana link with the liberation of African. One needs to think of our Ivory Coast "Dzi Wo Fi Asem" reaction.

We find it even difficult to accept press freedom in the country, opposition parties are not regarded and accepted, and democracy is only a spoken word in Ghana without implementation. With such mentality how can we African people unite as one (United States Of Africa) continent.
