Kenneth Agyei Kuranchie, the Managing Editor of the Daily Searchlight newspaper and a former member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has revealed that the Okaikwei North constituency has been very instrumental to his success story, which drives his desire to give back.

Appearing on the Angel Morning Show on May 31, 2024, Ken disclosed that he has resided in the constituency for over 30 years and has witnessed significant development in the area.

“All the developments of the area that I am talking about are over 30 years ago, and I have lived and witnessed it,” he said.

He added that with his deep knowledge and considering the importance of the constituency in his life, he is ready to give back to the people of the area.

“I came to Okaikwei North as a secondary school dropout, but I am a lawyer today. So what I want to say is, if you receive the goodness of a land, you should be ready to give back,” he added.

Kenneth Agyei Kuranchie openly declared his intention to quit the NPP and contest as an independent candidate in April after failing to secure the parliamentary candidature on a third attempt. He recently lost to Nana Ama Dokua.
