One Touch Win for Nana Addo

Coming 7th December 2012 election will favour Nana Akufo Addo, the flagbearer of NPP no matter how other parties would propagate or campaign against him, Nana Addo will win in the first round. He who predicts a win for any other party will be ashamed because the following reasons confirm.

In the first place, we should remember that Nana nearly won the 2008 election. He got 49.3% while Professor Mills got 47% but finally in the second round Nana loss. This time Nana will win in the first round and there would be no second round because of current population increase. Nana's favourable regions such as Ashanti, Eastern, Western, Brong, Central and Greater Accrapopulations have increased respectively and we should understand that those mentioned Regions are populous.

Secondly, the Free SHS campaign message has gone deep into the minds of SHS students as well as their parents because many of these students parents are poor and finding it difficult to pay their wards fees but they want their children to be educated.

We should also know that as at now SHS students are about 700,000 and out of this number, 70% is finding it difficult to pay their fees and these are the people who are going to vote massively for Nana Addo in order to enjoy the free secondary education.

Thirdly, the unemployed university graduates are about 60,000 and out this number too, 80% will vote for Nana Addo so it is likely that Nana will get the 50% +1 in the first round which, the electoral comission is looking for.

If extrapolation is anything to go by, then it is likely that Nana's share of the votes will automatically increase and when we add up to his previous election figures we could clearly see that Nana will win in the first round.

In addition to the above reasons, cracks in P/NDC have caused serious damages to the party and that can not be healed in this short time. Some of the cracks are the internal wrangling of the party as well as corruption perceptions. These two damages are pulling the party from throne no matter how hard they try but none of the remaining parties is strong enough to face the NPP flagbearer so it is very clear that Nana Addo will win in the first round.

These analyses are clear and accurate so either we argue or not Nana has one touch win on this 2012 election.

May God bless us.
