An open letter to the NDC general secretary on ndc primaries in Kpandai
I would like to use this platform to bring to you and the national executives’ attention the activities of the ex MP for Kpandai Hon Likpalmor.
The former Member of Parliament for kpandai constituency who for twenty years in parliament could not bring any development to kpandai constituency is going round deceiving delegates to re-elect him on the ticket of NDC come 2016 elections.
Nobody has informed us that the party primaries have opened yet Hon Likpalmor is already moving from village to village and from funeral to funeral campaigning for re-election. With his connections in the party we know he has been informed of the party primaries timetable. But General why are you not telling everyone else? For fairness and for the NDC to stand a chance of winning this seat again the Hon ex-MP needs to be called to order. Because of his activities the DCE and other candidates have also started campaigning.
General let we those on the ground inform you Honorable Likpalmor having lost the seat is no longer respected and will be easily defeated by NPP again.
After 20 years if he has not been able to bring development what else can he do in 4 years? After
20 years what he has left us is bad roads, bad schools, lack of water and other infrastructural facilities such as basic public toilets. Lack of support for our farmers, fishermen and market traders are a testament to his poor leadership.
When he was chair of scholarships committee how many people from Kpandai did he help to get scholarships? Zero. How many people has he assisted to the police force, army, nursing or into teaching? After 20 years as MP he should have been fighting for a ministerial or ambassadorial position or national position within NDC and not for him to be fighting for MP again. Is he the only one in NDC from Kpandai?
The people of kpandai can no longer be taken for granted. The ex-MP has demonstrated beyond all reasonable doubt that he is a greedy, self-seeking man who is insensitive to the plight and conditions of the people of Kpandai.
It was Chinua Achebe who said that a chicken that will grow into a cock is spotted the very day it hatches. The people of Kpandai have come a long way and have learnt their lessons. We now know the chickens that will grow into a cock and so no cheap politician whether in active service or retired can come and play any politricks with our conscience match less dribble us with their empty political promises.
General, Likpalmor has been defeated before; we the people will defeat him again if the NDC big men try to impose him on us again through tricks as they did in 2012.
I will conclude with the massage of the late Bob Marley “you can fool the people some of the time but you can fool the people all the time”.
