....with a progressive heart and mind
The PPP has learnt with shock and disbelief the sudden death of Mr. Paul Victor Obeng, Senior Advisor to President John Mahama and Chairman of the National Development Planning Commission (NDPC) over the weekend.
We wish to convey our heartfelt condolences to his family, party, government and the nation in its entirety for the loss of an illustrious son who had a progressive heart and mind, just at a time when the nation seems to have come to terms with the need to travel the path of consensus in its national development agenda.
The PPP nevertheless takes comfort in the words of the Good Book that, “there is time for everything” and knowing that he paid his dues to Ghana as a state actor for over three decades; even to his last days on earth.
Perhaps the President paid the most valuable tribute when he made P.V Obeng aware of the nation’s appreciation of his efforts and contributions to mother Ghana when H. E. John Mahama acknowledged him in his closing remarks at the just ended National Economic Forum.
May his soul rest in perfect peace.
Signed
Kofi Asamoah-Siaw
National Secretary
