PhD versus Dutch Passport: My take

File photo File photo

Mr. Kofi Gabs, aka Mr. Happiness, has set fire to the internet over his comments comparing a PhD to a Dutch passport. This is called false equivalence in philosophical reasoning because being able to acquire a PhD in any field takes arduous tasks and a toll on that individual, whereas acquiring a passport is just a question of privilege by birth or naturalization.

PhD holders around the world are responsible for groundbreaking research and innovations we as human beings enjoy in the modern world from medicine, commerce, the arts, and technology, which Mr. Happiness himself cherishes and prides himself on.

Having said that, he didn't say anywhere that your PhD is useless. Just by separating emotions from the argument on the table, any rational human being would understand that he was talking about the conditions in Ghana or Sub-Saharan Africa presently and how the evil system was created where only the dominant class continues to rape the state for themselves and their cronies, where the majority of the people who have no power are to die.

This level of evil black self-centered greed and emetic nature of leadership was the content of his message. What is the quality of life for the average, hardworking Ghanaian? It's worse than a death sentence for a hardened felon on death row because the state is hijacked and can't keep its part of the social contract bargain while it takes from the citizens mindlessly.

The very life of the Ghanaian citizen is “solitary, poor, brutish, nasty, and short.”.

We're no longer under a government that cares about the welfare of the people.
In his reality of tasting both worlds—Africa and the West—it is clear he lives better than the majority here because the state has failed abysmally.

What's the average salary of teachers in Ghana? What's the condition of the schools and hospitals in the country? Is it not in Ghana that an elderly patient in a hospital was ejected and thrown away? That inhumane, savage behavior cannot happen in the West because they value the lives of even animals. To put it another way, a dog in that society is treated better than a human being in Africa. Is this not why blacks sold blacks for alcohol, wheelbarrows,
and clothes?

Let's stop the pretense because many who deride him because he cleans toilets wish they could trade places with him. Prof. Ransford Gyampo called him a toilet cleaner in a derogatory manner. It comes down to the mindset we have as people because we hate reality and rather choose to live in bubbles, thinking the sun rotates around the earth.

How does Prof. Ransford Gyampo treat the janitors in the department? The whites who created that system where we beg and where our leaders build their
mansions won't do that. That's why the West has become the number one destination for all blacks, and I do say that if the slave ships came today, because of the system created here, many blacks would chain themselves this time around and jump in.

Loss of hope and desperation fill everywhere. When people like Josep Borrell and Erik Prince tell the uncomfortable truth about Africa, we get offended for no
reason.

Let's once again face the truth that the living conditions in Africa are appalling and inhumane in many regards. African governments must be responsible enough to work towards the well-being of those they lead.
