At times, I hardly can find words and phrases to express the intensity of my emotions when I hear, and see, how the NDC and President Mahama are taking Ghanaians for imbeciles. Upon all the ongoing economic mess brought about by the cluelessness, maladministration, incompetence and short-sightedness of President Mahama and his government, they are still boasting with confidence that election 2016 is a foregone conclusion in their favour. With the unprecedented near-institutional prevalent gargantuan corruption, which is not only the brainchild of President Mahama, but also, spearheaded by him in the hope of illegally enriching his family, cronies and party, an act detrimental to the nation, he is still cocksure to win election 2016 hands down.
This is where I have an issue with the NDC, President Mahama and their teeming rapaciously vociferous supporters and sympathisers. They only think about their individual welfare but not the collective interest of Ghanaians. They have come to see politics as an arena for making money. They are pursuing personal agenda bordering on insatiable greed and unrelenting acquisition of illegal wealth. On top of this, they are constantly lying to Ghanaians about their achievements, mentioning innumerable developmental projects they have carried out, but without able to precise their locations for ascertainment and verification.
They should rather have the shame to recoil into their lair or shell as does the fox or the snail than to shamelessly continue to make noise about NDC having won Election 2016 well ahead of its organization. Instead of coming out to apologize to Ghanaians for having failed them miserably, they are rather saying that they have performed exceptionally well, and hence must be given standing ovation and rounds of applause by the entire Ghanaian populace. What the heck do they think Ghanaians are?
Their overconfidence of winning Election 2016, after all their overwhelming perpetration and perpetuation of corruption, mismanagement, practice of selective justice and blatant ethnocentricity and tribalism, lies in the fact that they have assurance somehow from somewhere. Who has given them that assurance? Who else could it be apart from that obstinate septuagenarian Dr Kwadwo Afari Gyan, the Chairman of the Electoral Commission?
It is said in an Akan proverb, "Se onifrani se 3beto ebo3 ab3 wo a, na ne nan gyina bribeso", literally translated as, "If a blind person tells you he will throw a stone at you, then it means he has his foot on one (or on something)". Therefore, the NDC know what they have done with the Electoral Commission through the bloated voters register hence their unfaltering confidence to win election 2016, in the face of, or amid, their abysmal performance, stinking corruption and totally wrecking the economy of Ghana, not to mention the international disrepute Ghana has incurred thanks to the capricious actions and inactions by President Mahama.
No Ghanaian in his or her right frame of mind would vote NDC after all the socio-economic hardships they have brought to bear upon us. Surely, those who stand to greatly benefit from their propagating corruption, knowing no shame, and are without the heart of humans but beasts, will still vote NDC. What a perfect reminiscent of the adage, "One man's meat is another man's poison"
There will surely be a way out from the sullied hands of President Mahama and the NDC. Where there is a will, there is a way. My fellow discerning Ghanaians, do we feel comfortable under the directionless administration overflowing of smelly corruption by President Mahama and the NDC government and party? If we are not, then let us stand up to unanimously with one voice, agitate for our freedom from the "Black-on-Black" shackles of slavery wrapped around our legs, waists and hands by President Mahama and his "Yen ntie Obiaa" criminals – a Ghanaian version of the Arabian "Alibaba and his forty thieves".
I have Alfred Agbesi Woyome in sight. I have not forgotten about him so he must get ready to read from me. It is only under Atta Mills/John Mahama and John Mahama/Arthur Amissah NDC-led governments that people like Woyome can swindle the country out of millions of Ghana New Cedis and still let go scot free or saunters around the streets as though no crime has been committed.
There is a solution to every problem no matter how unique the problem is hence the saying, "Every unique problem has its unique solution". Let us keep looking for solutions to extricate ourselves and Mother Ghana from the insanity of the NDC administration.
