RE: World Population Projected to reach 8.1 billion in 2025

“All the growth is in the developing countries and the astronomical growth of the world's youth population ranging between 15 and 24 years is shifting to Africa and Asia.

This was contained in the latest edition of Population Reference Bureau (PRB) published in the USA which informs people around the world about population, health and the environment and empowers them to use that information to advance the well-being of current and future generations.”

(My short rejoinder is based on this short statement extracted from the referred Ghanaweb news.)

THE LAWS OF LIFE THAT BOTH SCIENCE AND SCRIPTURES PROCLAIM

I have always said science and scriptures are not enemies. They are siblings. They talk in two different dialects of the same language and they follow the same principles. [These statements may not only seem inconsistent to some readers, but may also seem stupid to them. All same I stand by them.]

Science talks about natural laws or the laws of sustainable life handed down by nature. And the scriptures talk about God's laws or the laws of eternal life handed down by God.

BOTH LAWS POINT TO THE SAME DIRECTION WHICH IS THAT OUR LIVES MUST FOLLOW AND OBEY LAWS THAT ENSURE SUSTAINABILITY.

WE DISOBEY AND WE PAY THE PRICE OF DISOBEDIENCE WHICH IS “DESTRUCTION”.

If we fail to use our brains, we will end like the dinosaurs.....[that is, we will disappear in the end]. Scientists predict this.

Do the scriptures predict such a calamity too? Yes, they do. They warn us about ‘an end’. And they further give us advice to choose between the joy of eternal life and the calamity of eternal destruction. The language of the scriptures is encoded in mystics but when decoded into the language of real life, it says the same thing that science says about both sustainability and destruction of life.

Science calls the phenomenon that creates life and controls the laws of life as "Nature". The scriptures call the phenomenon that creates life and controls the laws of life as "God".

Whichever way we Africans prefer to see life, we must respect the laws of life and obey them. Whether we believe in Science or in God or in both phenomena.....a conjoined belief that may not be inconsistent in reality, we must stop disobeying the laws of life.

ONE OF THESE LAWS ENJOINS US TO CONTROL OUR SEXUAL APPETITE AND RELATIONSHIP WITH SANCTITY TO ENSURE BALANCE, CONSISTENCY AND SUSTAINABILITY OF LIFE.
