Re: ‘Akufo-Addo too old to govern Ghana like Mahama’ – Asiedu Nketia

Johnson Asiedu Nketia, General Secretary Johnson Asiedu Nketia, General Secretary

NDC General Secretary Johnson Asiedu Nketia, alias General Mosquito, as famished-looking and sorry to say, ugly as he is but completely foul-mouthed, has said on his election campaign tour, thus, ‘Akufo-Addo too old to govern Ghana like Mahama’. He goes on to say and I quote, “The NPP says 72 years is good, that Nigeria has voted so we can also vote. Rebecca Akufo-Addo needs to heed to Buhari’s wife’s advice and advise her husband, Akufo-Addo accordingly. She [Rebecca] should tell Nana Addo that he is too old and cannot govern the nation like how President Mahama is governing the nation.”

Check the underlying web link for the full reportage on his pronouncements as published on Ghanaweb on Monday 24 October 2016.

For the attention of all readers with Asiedu Nketia himself included, yes, Nana Akufo Addo is too old to want to steal Ghana’s money as President Mahama is perceived to be doing.

Yes, Nana Akufo Addo is too old to be clueless as President Mahama appears to be at the presidency.

Yes, Nana Akufo Addo is too old to practise tribal, nepotistic and Father-of-own-party-only politics as President Mahama is doing.

Yes, Nana Akufo Addo is too old to directly or indirectly seek to encourage radio programme presenters and, or his radio serial-caller supporters to plan to kill Supreme Court judges or rape them and then exercise his constitutional powers of prerogative of mercy to grant them remission from corrective or deterring prison sentence as recently seen to be done in the case of the notorious Montie 3 – (Messrs Salifu Maase alias Mugabe, Alistair Nelson and Godwin Ako Gunn).

Yes, Nana Addo is too old to NOT be dedicated to duty and be of service to his people and nation.

Yes, he is too old to NOT see the danger in misusing Ghana’s money to satisfy the needs of only his cronies, few party members, family members and his cheerleaders unlike President Mahama.

Yes, he is too old to NOT be concerned about the direction Ghana is going economically.

Yes, he is too old to mismanage the affairs of Ghana to the detriment of the governed.

Yes, he is too old to put square pegs in round holes when it comes to selecting Ministers and Deputy Ministers to help him govern the nation.

Yes, he is too old NOT to see the sense in not promoting corrupt and offending Government Ministers who in President Mahama’s government are always transferred or reshuffled to higher positions instead of facing demotion, sack or prosecution.

Yes, his old age will not allow him to disrespect the views of the electorates whether they have ever been President of Ghana before or not.

What Nana Akufo Addo is too old not to do all because of experience that comes with old age, and with old age being an indication of wisdom, are many and varied. His old age will not allow him to govern like President Mahama who is very corruptly selective, but he will govern as a father for all for the betterment and collective interests of Ghanaians.

At his old age, what is the benefit of him having an insatiable appetite for quick buck and gigantic material wealth unlike President Mahama?

For Johnson Asiedu Nketia’s accusation to hold any water, thus hold any sense, he should advise Mrs Rebecca Akufo Addo and the wife of President Buhari of Nigeria to quit their husbands because they are too old to service them in bed rather than asking them to advise their husbands not to do politics because of their old age.

To clarify the doubt in the minds of the public regarding how cunningly Asiedu Nketia is twisting what President Buhari’s wife said to denigrate Nana Akufo Addo’s dynamism, dedication to duty, honesty etc., let me reproduce below some excerpts.

“In an interview with BBC, Aisha Buhari said the president had abandoned those who worked to bring him to power, and suggested the government had been hijacked by a few individuals who now wield sweeping powers.

“He is yet to tell me —if he’ll seek re-election— but I have decided as his wife, that if things continue like this up to 2019, I will not go out and campaign again and ask any woman to vote like I did before,” Mrs Buhari warned. “I will never do it again”

The wife seems to be directing his husband away from falling deeper and deeper into the very ills that engulfed his predecessor, former President Goodluck, the very characteristics that President Mahama is 100% known to be infatuated with hence having all these few corrupt Government Ministers, NDC party gurus and radio serial callers etc., formed into greedy bastard squads (by courtesy of former President Rawlings) squandering all Ghana’s money.

What she advised against had nothing to do with old age. Is President Mahama, as young as he is, not guilty of what Madam Aisha Buhari said?

Asiedu Nketia, your propaganda will not work. The blowing wind of change will clear President Mahama and the NDC from political governance of Ghana come 7 December 2016, God willing and Inshah Allah!
