Columnist: Hayford, Ben Attah

Re: Violence Erupts in Bekwai.

“Fellow Amansie men and women, I can understand your frustration and feel your disappointment, first as an Amansie citizen and second as a development oriented individual. First of all, I appeal for calm and a return to normality of what we would otherwise be engaged in, i.e farming, selling, teaching, nursing, shop keeping etc.

We all are fed up with Hon.Kofi Adusie, Just as his NPP, Kofi Adusie has become tired, stale and mired in maladministration. Come Sunday 7th of December 2008 we will have the chance to vote for change with Ben Attah-Hayford as our Member of Parliament and his CPP into government.

"The Case against Hon. Kofi Adusie is his record as M.P., his failure to represent the overall interest of every constituent, his failure to practice an open government and his failure to bring development projects into the area. His record lays bare the scale of abuses, neglect and disappointment that has registered on every wall, home, school, hospital, farm and all institutions in Amansie over the past eight years.

“Hon.Kofi Adusie has been astonishingly complacent about the development needs of our people in Amansie as a result of his detachment from our people, the very people whose taxes pay his wages to represent their interest and his comments about his achievements have been downright misleading. Bills such as “Agriculture credit fund bill” has the potential to advance / benefit 70 of our people who are farmers but unfortunately Hon Kofi Adusie is clueless about what our peoples needs are and what will bring them economic prosperity, security and independence.

"NPP’s Kofi Adusie, has spent vast amounts of money (source questionable though) on building up a personal support structure to throw dust into our peoples eyes which would do the dictator of a banana republic proud.

"Come 7th December 2008 the people of Amansie East have a clear choice, between a man with the personality and policies to unite Amansie and a man who has spent more than eight years dividing, disappointing and failing us as a people. Between a man who is an instinctive moderate and a man whose extremist politics are a matter of public record. Between a man who will run an administration open to all and a man who relies on a closed and unaccountable clique to keep a grip on power. Ben Attah – Hayford and the Convention peoples Party represent the fresh start that the people who live, work and intend to invest in Amansie all need.

As a Party we have a clear vision for Ghana’s future. We want to see a country where people have more opportunity and power over their lives. We have the new ideas and the long-term policies to make it happen. Voting CPP on 7th of December will help to turn these aspirations into reality. God bless us all.”

Imagine another 4 years of Hon Kofi Adusei, abuse, neglect, more disappointment, reduction in our hopes etc etc!!!!!!!! We need ACTION. Vote Ben Attah- Hayford and the CPP.
