Residents Of Dzedzorkope Cry For Help

Residents of Dzedzorkope at Atimpoku in the Asuogyaman district of the Eastern region have appealed for immediate support as perenial rains have rendered most people homeless. The rains which has been consistent since the beginning of last month in the region at large has destroyed houses and other properties rendering almost 300 residents homeless in the community.



This was disclosed when constituency executives of National Democratic Congress (NDC)visited the community to sympathise with the victims.



The leader of the delegation who is also the constituency chairman, mr Wilfred Yevugah was saddened about the harm caused by the rainstorm and therefore advised to make sure they constantly see to the repair of their houses in order to make them strong all the time especially during the rainy season to avoid such unfortunate incidence. He however called on non- governmental organisations(NGOs), NADMO and other coperate social organisations to come to the aid of those affected.



Mr Yevugah assured them of their support to ensure the people get the neccessary support needed. Residents and victims were grateful for their visit and also appealed for support.



Other executives present were the constituency secretary, Bright Kitanku, the organiser, Benneth Ansah, propaganda secretary, Clement Amegashie and others.
