Response to Kwabena Donkor over Sammy Awuku's appointment

Sammy Awuku being sworn in as YEA Board Chairman Sammy Awuku being sworn in as YEA Board Chairman

Hon. Kwabena Donkor,

I have read a piece, circulating on social media, questioning the choice of Sammy Awuku as Board Chairman of the Youth Employment Authority.

I am surprised at your understanding of Act 885, the basis for your argument.

I'm sorry Sir! Drop that primitive idea of defining the Ghanaian youth as an inexperienced person, not worthy of even heading a Board.

Sammy Awuku's exceptional leadership skills and his ability to mobilize the youth force won the NPP the elections. This certainly will suffice for any job that requires administrative and HR development skills.

His strategy of mobilizing the Ghanaian youth and getting them own the NPP campaign for me won the NPP the 2016 elections.

Today, a 39 year old Emmanuel Macron is the President of France and ex officio Co-Prince of Andorra. Should this not tell you the youth has a lot to offer in terms of Leadership? Justin Pierre James Trudeau PC MP is the 23rd and current Prime Minister of Canada and leader of the Liberal Party. Please wake up to the reality.

Thank God you're not the appointing authority. Sammy Awuku, with his leadership qualities will eliminate the massive corruption we've witnessed under YEA.

I've heard him speak about how he intends to transform the agency. I urge all Ghanaians to support this youthful leadership.

Ghana is being transformed at a speed of light. Let's all Arise and support the agenda.

Thank You.
