Retracing Our Ancestry Footsteps

Has anyone of you ever experienced a deja vu? Like for example, arriving at a place where you have never been, but somehow having a strange feeling that you've been there before? Or perhaps meeting somebody that you sense that you know, but somehow cannot seem to remember exactly where you know this person from? A couple of years ago I was in Scotland on a visit. Actually I'd met this Scottish beauty who invited me over. I boarded the plane and headed towards Scotland to honour her invitation.

What I'm about to tell you is quite strange. See, I have heard about this phenomenon called deja vu. But somehow, I didn't know what it really meant until I actually experienced it. My Scottish girlfriend and I were in her room one day, when the energy in the room changed all of the sudden. I then came to the realization that I have been in that room with her before. Even though, it was my first time ever in that room with her.

Surprisingly, it felt like an awakening of some sort. As if I had been shaken awake by some force into consciousness from a long sleep. I told her look, this might sound strange in your ears. However, I just had a feeling that I've been here before. She smiled and said that that was deja vu. Deja vu or not deja vu, what I felt was real and I needed an explanation. It has been told to us by several beliefs that when we die, we either go to heaven or to hell. See, I was raised in the Christian faith, but later on I evolved into my own. Therefore, the notion of heaven or hell doesn't do me much. I believe that everything is everything, and everywhere is everywhere. Moreover, I do believe that life is perfect, if you accept it as it is. That said, I'm a fervent believer that had there been no birth, there wouldn't have been no need for death. Which brings me to this somewhat controversial notion of reincarnation.

To be honest with you, there is nothing new under the sun. Everything seems to fall under repetition.

Day becomes night, the young gets old and so on and so forth. It looks like with each new day born, another one dies. However, this is far from the truth. Life doesn't die- it cannot die. Death is simply an illusion. Because life is a continuous process without an end. Life is an eternal substance, which recycles itself in its continuation. This is also true when it comes to each and everyone of us. Like all of life's substances, we too are recyclable. Therefore, it could be said that a new day is nothing but a recycled version of the previous day. A new born child is nothing but a recycled or a reincarnated version of a previous life. In brief, life wastes nothing. Everything that gets old is recycled into something seemingly new without losing its original identity. This original identity is referred to as the soul. The soul is nothing but the formless, inexhaustible energy of life itself. Moreover, the soul is the real you, your true self. It transcends both space and time, lives forever more and it's in-destructive. The soul is cosmic and so are you.

Grown-ups do have the tendency to look down on kids, as if kids are stupid. No mature person in his/her right mind would ever consider taking an advise from a child. No matter how sound the advise. However, very little do these grown-ups know that these kids are not here for the first time. These kids have been here many times over. Some of these kids are our deceased uncles, aunts, grandmothers, grandfathers born anew. They have been recycled into kids for our caring. So be careful how treat your kids, if you have any. Please do listen to them when they have something to say. Because one day, you too would be recycled/reincarnated into a child for their caring. Moreover, the next time you meet a person that you sense that you know, but somehow cannot seem to remember exactly where you know this person from, don't be surprised. Because both of you might have lived and met in a previous life before. And maybe even danced the great cosmic dance.
