Seventy Years On, Boakye-Gyan Is Still a Mighty Fool

I actually meant “a bloody fool” in the caption of this article. A Veritable “Nkwaseafohene” he is. You know who am talking about. That ill-bred and half-educated troglodyte. It is amusingly shocking that this backwoods woodpecker continues to desperately attempt to make himself relevant by scandalously linking himself to the universally discredited Rawlings-led Armed Forces Revolutionary Council (AFRC). Makes me sick to my craw. But, of course, we all know that this inferiority-complex bathed buffoon is unlikely to get anywhere with his oafish display of macho-arrogance and clinical stupidity in a million years.

Well, for those of our readers who are too young to know or remember, Maj. Boakye-Gyan – his surname is sometimes spelt “Djan” – was one of the reprobate AFRC mercenaries who took a handsome payola of $100,000 (One-Hundred-Thousand Dollars) apiece from the Limann-led People’s National Party (PNP), while the rest of us were shown the highway to the bloody Trokosi Nationalist Revolution of the so-called Provisional National Defense Council (PNDC) that brought us the infamous Rawlings Necklace. That is how much Nkwaseafohene Boakye-Gyan is worth. One-Hundred-Thousand Dollars!

Indeed, but for the epic struggle of the likes of Nana Akufo-Addo (Paapa Kumaa, Happy Birthday!), Mr. J. H. Mensah, Prof. Albert Adu-Boahen, Mr. R. R. Amponsah, Mr. Modesto Apaloo and Mr. William “Paa Wille” Ofori-Atta, among a legion of other illustrious sons and daughters of postcolonial Ghana, Boakye-Gyan would still be hiding somewhere on the European sub-continent mighty broke and logging in ungodly hours as a night watchman. That is how irredeemably hopeless that SOB is. There was even a time when this bumpkin was on the hit-list of Capt. Kojo Tsikata and Flt.-Lt. Jerry John Rawlings. If he had any sense of shame or self-respect, this barely articulate rustic denizen would not have so facilely opted to become the water-boy of the half-Scottish waif he so relishes associating himself with.

I am also quite certain that Chairman Rawlings has nothing but thoroughgoing contempt for this jaded political stand-up comedian. This is a man who shot his way to promotion from an army captain. He gives the Ghana Armed Forces such a revolting name. He would later claim that his promotion conferral had been in the works long before the scandalous mutiny that afforded him the notoriety he shamelessly sports in the specious guise of eminence today was planned and staged. Legend has it that the dastardly decision to summarily execute the likes of Generals A. A. Afrifa, I. K. Acheampong and F. W. K. Akuffo by firing squad was the brainchild of Owudifo Boakye-Gyan.

Some thirty-seven years later, I bet Maj. Boakye-Gyan cannot point to a single creditable thing that made his idiotic participation in the Trokosi-minted AFRC faux-revolution worthwhile. And now, here comes this godforsaken SOB huffing about the National Democratic Congress’ being capable of mobilizing more than enough militia forces to outmatch the security operatives of the systematically harried and criminally persecuted Akufo-Addo-led main opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) fist-for-fist (See “NDC Can Mobilize Militant Groups Against NPP in an Hour – Boakye-Gyan” Topfmonline.com / Ghanaweb.com 3/29/16). I could easily have predicted even long before he opened his porcine buccal cesspool of a cavity that Maj. Boakye-Gyan would not be manly enough to discuss the widely alleged and flagrantly illegal military training exercises that some key operatives of the Mahama-led National Democratic Congress are known to be covertly supervising at Asutsuare for the Azorka Boys.

I also don’t know why this congenital imbecile thinks that Capt. Tsikata and Flt.-Lt. Rawlings are the bravest and best personnel that ever got recruited into the Ghana Armed Forces. Maybe he needs to read more about the history and professional development of the Ghana Armed Forces. But guess what, this irredeemable “’Kwaadonto” now calls himself “Osahene” (Chief Warrior). Let him tell us in which manly battle or real war he so distinguished himself, or the real status of the grass-cutter-muck-eating petty chieftain who awarded him such a grossly oversized traditional Akan military title. This bloody fool who so heretically presumes to rank himself among the revered class of the seminal movers and shakers of postcolonial Ghana.

Like it or not, the decision by the leaders of the New Patriotic Party never to, once again, allow themselves and their supporters and sympathizers to be taken for granted by pathological thieves and thugs like Nkwaseafohene Boakye-Gyan continues relentlessly. And there is absolutely nothing that mercenary poltroons like Mr. Boakye-Gyan can do about it. The man who could not even confront and collar Chairman Rawlings over the brutal murder of his own brother, Mr. Kyeremeh-Gyan, would now have us believe that he is, somehow, manly enough to wage a sustained siege against the 27 million disgruntled Ghanaians held hostage by the Mahama-led government of the National Democratic Congress. What a joke!
