The New Patriotic Party (NPP) since coming into office in 2017 has initiated a number of policies aimed at helping the rural poor, strengthening the middle-income base of the country whilst laying a solid foundation for the development of a prosperous country. The party continues to build systems that hinge on the digitalization of government services and the delivery of quality servant
leadership for marginalized people in the country.

Education they say is the backbone of every economy; in Ghana education is not only the backbone but a wishbone of the very poor and marginalized in the country. Whilst some were advocating for free secondary education now, the very people who benefited from Nkrumah’s version of it were fighting against it shamelessly.

At last, the president stood his ground and free education has now been implemented for seven and half years now. Thousands of students of rural children who but for Free Secondary Education would have been out of school have been enrolled, retained, and completed secondary school for the first time in their families.

Notwithstanding the current economic situation, the country currently battles with; our slogan and apparent intent is to "break the 8." What does that mean? How can it be done? Can we really do it? Follow me as I elaborate on the real deal for "breaking the 8." Just a gist; leadership of service, leadership of impact, leadership of substance, leadership for the people, leadership of shared values and responsibility, leadership for Yendi and beyond- Alhaji Farouk Aliu Mahama!

Breaking the 8 means, the continuation of the huge investment in education, in railway development, in industry development, in roads infrastructure, in building factories, a robust health insurance system, strengthening of our security services, and above all quality servant leadership backed by actions. Breaking the 8 equally denotes riding on the popularity, loyalty, and huge experience of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, whose exceptional leadership transcends the boundaries of faith, tribe, and above all politics.

How do we break 8? For me it is as simple as ABCD; let every MP put the people first as Alhaji Farouk Aliu Mahama does. Let them copy his constant visibility with the grassroots, they should copy his exceptional bonding skills with the people, they should cut and paste his super investment in the human capital of his constituents. In short, every MP or aspirant must sit with him for strategies to ignite good faith in politicians as he has done in Yendi.

Today he tours 30 electoral areas of his constituency for continued bonding and keeping faith with the masses little did he know he is revitalizing the grassroots whilst clearing and cementing the path of progress to breaking the 8.
The vision of our forebears has come to pass; Yendi is now the most peaceful
destination for investment.

While we acknowledge that there is more to be done; Alhaji Farouk Aliu Mahama continues to be the anchor of our long-desired goal of a prosperous Yendi for all. Indeed, so far so good! With God, everything is possible!
