Special Prosecutor Martin Amidu must be tough in dealing with corruption

Special Prosecutor, Martin Amidu Special Prosecutor, Martin Amidu

Mr. Martin Alamsi Burnes Kaiser Amidu popularly known as citizen vigilante, who over the years has showcased himself to Ghanaians as anti-corruption crusader and has been accepted in the face of Ghanaians as well.

Through his fight against corruption that he introduced the word “gargantuan” into the lexicon of Ghanaian politics, when he opened the can of worms about Woyome scandal in Ghana fiscal history at the time.

On 11th January, 2018 when H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo named Mr. Martin A.B.K Amidu as the long awaited Special Prosecutor (SP) for the newly created office of the special prosecutor

Overwhelming majority of Ghanaians across the globe was extremely excited because of his extraordinary track record on corruption matters and his public reputation as a man with a nonsense stance on corruption.

Ever since Mr. Martin A.B.K. Amidu assumed this office he has made several complains such as lack of resources for his office and some current and past Government officials sabotaging his efforts to prosecute offenders and thereby making his work difficult.

One of the greatest Philosophers once said “if you want to test a man’s character give him a position”. I Ebenezer Nyamekye (PASTORAL) as a true patriotic citizen of Ghana, Social Activist and president of the Patriotic Front Movement of Ghana (PAFMOG) have been attempted to believe that Mr. Martin A.B.K Amidu is gradually losing grounds in the fight against corruption and this is evident in his recent comment that “some politicians and current top government officials not supporting him”, this evidence of COWARDLINESS

I want to use this to appeal to Mr. Martin A.B.K Amidu the Special Prosecutor that if he still remains the man we know over the years, then he should be BOLD ENOUGH and name those who are serving as aperture to perform his duties to the satisfaction of the Ghanaian Populace.

In conclusion, I would like to urge all citizens of Ghana within and outside our country to continue to be true patriotic citizens and discharge all our duties as required of patriots citizen irrespective of your class and also put on the spirit of selflessness and BOLDNESS in order to build a better and holistic Ghana together. Thank you all.

Long live everyone

Long live the Media

Long live Ghana.
