Takoradi based sports Journalist Kojo Darko Sakyi-Gyinae has slammed management of Sekondi Hasaacas over the club’s management style comparing it to table top tomato businesses run by market women.

The Takoradi based premier league team, once revered in the Western region has become highly unattractive and cash strapped. Management is currently struggling to generate revenue to offset accumulated salary arrears and bonuses which runs over $47,000.

The Empire FM journalist want wants the team’s hierarchy to review the business model of the team and set up a functional organizational structure which will transform the club.

‘Look, if they want to turn the fortunes of the club around, they must get the basics right. Hasaacas is a limited Liability and must be run as such. Do they even have a documented business plan? ‘

‘You cannot run a club like selling tomatoes in the market. How can you pay players table top in this age? What is their revenue target and financial projections like? Do they have a blue print for revenue generation? Do they have a documented plan which addresses all these issues?

‘What does their financial statement say over the last five years? What is the margin of profit or loss? If you aren’t open with your financial records and accounts, how do you attract investors?’

‘A documented business plan answers these critical questions and that’s one of the basic thing they need in transforming the club.’ he lashed out at the management on Empire FM’s Sunday night show, soccer arena.

After 1-0 home loss to Accra Hearts of Oak, Hasaacas lie 13th on the Ghana Premier league table on 21 point, just a drop off the relegation zone.
