Supporting the Likes of Chairman Wontumi To Liberate Ghana From….

Ghana of today is in crisis. This is a fact nobody can deny. The self-indulgences of our President, his family and cronies, taking precedent over their self-denial, if at all they have any, have contributed immensely to the hopeless comatose situation in which Ghanaians find themselves today.

Everywhere you go, Ghanaians are crying. Everywhere you go, they are suffering and bemoaning the economic ravages they are compelled to tortuously sail through. Suffering as they are from insecurity and financial constraints visited upon them by the maladministration of President Mahama and his government, they are still required to keep their silence. The President expects Ghanaians to praise him for, and talk more about, his positive achievements.

Can any man of integrity, say on their honour, to have seen the positive achievements of President Mahama? I cannot see any. Even if there are any, they pale to nothing compared to his numerously implemented policies effected in bad faith.

Why a person Ghana has hired (John Dramani Mahama) to manage the affairs of the nation, turn his back on the majority of the people? Why should he be allowed to do whatever he likes, even to the extent of collapsing the nation, without the electorates having any right to raise a voice against his flippant attitudes all because he has a mandate to govern the nation?

Ghanaians must have the right to question the way an elected President or government runs the affairs of the nation. The fact that one has been elected President does not bestow on him/her the absolute power to toy with the nation on a whim.

Some people in the nation, a few of course, have by their special relationship with the President or the government dubiously enriched themselves at the expense of the entire suffering population. These same people have the guts to boast of their riches acquired fraudulently. They also have the shameless boldness to drag anyone challenging their source of sudden wealth to court, knowing they have wherewithal to buy justice.

Must we not rally around individuals that are able to stand up to challenge the excesses of the President or the government and their cronies? Do we live them to suffer alone, the consequences of their actions taken in good faith to save Ghana from the hands of rogues who are parading the corridors of power? We shouldn’t, I will say.

Subsequently, I will call on Ghanaians to support Mr Bernard Antwi Boasiako, alias Chairman Wontumi of the NPP. He has been arraigned for accusing one Ibrahim Mahama, the younger brother of President Mahama, of wallowing in illegal wealth. This man, who is filthy rich, prides himself in aliases Pepeni No.1 and Tanii No.2 for reasons only known to him, as are emanating from his warped mind.

Do we watch while these nouveaux riches, their riches acquired fraudulently of course, avail themselves of the law, where justice is sold to the highest bidder, to suppress us further? I believe we should not sit down doing nothing but to take them on. The more Ghanaians sit on their backside twirling their fingers, hoping for fate to take its natural course, the more those nearer to the President will amass ill-gotten wealth to the detriment of the citizenry.

I support Brother Martin Amidu for taking that thief, Alfred Agbesi Woyome, on. I support Chairman Wontumi for condemning the illegal ways by which Pepeni No. 1 has amassed wealth. He should be ashamed of himself for the self-confused role he played that led to the bankruptcy and the subsequent sale of the Merchant Bank. We have to offer those with intent to liberate Ghana from the ongoing institutional corruption, our unflinching support.

Ghana would not degenerate into her current hopeless state if we had tens of Chairman Wontumi, Martin Amidu, Kennedy Agyapong, Ernest Owusu Bempa, alias “Aboa Apapo” and Kabila in the country. They are bold people with the love of the country at heart. We need to support their cause.

Ghanaians need somebody who will represent everyone, but not someone who will represent no-one but themselves, their family and their cronies, to be the President of Ghana.

Viva la revolución!
